Torch turns on her phone's screen, navigating to Snapchat.
It's one of her favorite things to do, posting videos.
She gets a lot of replies that way. It's nice talking to her friends.
The camera turns on, aimed at herself, and she slowly comes into focus, blue sky framing her yellow mane.
"Hey, guys!" She begins.
"Jus' another update for ya boys 'n squirrels."
"Sittin' here on top'a my friend's apartment buildin', jus' chillaxin'."
A couple clouds roll into the frame.
"Had a pretty alright day, t'day."
"Got some good food at Wendy's, the frosties're great."
"Didn't used t'like mayo on my hayburgers, but now I love it."
"And nothin' beats their fries. Nice 'n salty."
She turns the camera around, giving you a view of the city beyond the roof.
Her hoof is unsteady, and she turns the phone this way and that, not letting any building's image linger for more than a second.
Torch walks over towards the edge of the roof, phone in hoof.
She holds it over the side of the building, aimed down at the streets below.
It looks busy down there, herds of colorful ponies travelling to and fro.
"Kinda look like ants from up here, don't they?"
"I wanna drop somethin' on 'em. Maybe a bucketful'a water. That'd be funny."
"Oh, oh, I totally CAN drop somethin'! Gimme a sec."
She sets the phone down by the edge, aimed at the sky.
Clanking and rustling can be heard as she digs through her bag.
After a long moment, she picks the phone back up.
The video zooms in on a piece of paper held in her hoof.
In bold permanent marker is written the words 'U STINK LOL'.
Holding the paper out over the edge, she lets it drop.
The camera follows the paper for a while as it flutters away in the wind.
She laughs as it floats towards the ground.
Someone will read it. Doesn't matter who.
They just need to know they stink.
She climbs up onto the edge of the roof, and begins walking along it. Her wings fan out so she can keep her balance.
"Pretty nice up here, t'be honest. Dunno why I don't make this my main chill spot."
"The feelin'a the wind in my feathers is real nice.."
"And bein' all the way up here, feels.. I dunno, pretty cool. I jus' like it."
Torch sits down on the ledge, hind legs dangling over the side.
"Quit my job yesterday, though. Didn't like that."
"Super borin', just sweepin' floors and then readin' books when I'm all done."
"Learned a lot about cats and actin', though, so it wasn't all that bad."
"Improv 'n method actin' seem like my type'a thing. Really get into the role, y'know?"
Setting the phone back down at her side camera-down, the video goes black, but she keeps talking.
"...Been gettin' kinda chilly at night."
"Lost my scarf, really sucks. I loved it. It was blue."
"I'll manage, though. Always do."
"..If your couch's free, hit me up."
She pauses for a few seconds as she thinks.
"So, like.. There's this pony I really like. A lot."
"They're really cool and I love hangin' out with 'em."
"But, uh.. So, when somepony does somethin' to make you.. Mad.."
"Like, what d'you do?"
"I don't like bein' mad. It stinks, I yell and swear. No fun."
"Nothin' t'do about it but smoke 'til I'm happy again."
"Outta smokes, by the way. If you've got any, hit me up."
"And, like.. I dunno, just ain't been feelin' good lately."
"No clue what's been draggin' me down."
"I just feel like.. Like.."
She pauses for a few seconds.
"..Doin' somethin' about it."
She lets out a heavy sigh.
Lifting the phone back up, she comes into view again.
"But.. It's whatever, I guess.. Things go on."
"Like I said, if y'wanna chill, jus' text me."
"I'm always free."
She smiles into the camera, giving it a little wave.
"Seeya soon, guys!"
The video ends.
