Just something I figured I'd make a blog rather than just keeping it to a wall post. A few years ago, my mom, my sister, and I were going to the pet store to pick out a dog for my sister. I wasn't all that excited about it since I was being dragged along. We'd been there tons of times before, so it got boring pretty quick. So we get to the pet store, my sister and my mom go off to look at puppies, and I end up wandering around the store, looking at the other puppies they have on display. Now the store was set up so that there were areas to keep the puppies but also reach into them and pet them and play with them. I'm walking around, and one dog, in particular, catches my eye; a female Australian Sheperd. The reason this dog caught my eyes is that she stared at me and started jumping at me. She ignored the other people who were there and just focused on me. So I go over and pet her, play with her for a bit, and then we go home.
Some time passes, I don't think too much about the dog, and then we go back to the pet store. I go wandering around again, and the same Austrailian Sheperd focuses solely on me when I pass by. So I spend the entire trip playing with her and petting her. This repeats for a few more times until one day, we just stop going to that pet store. At this point, I feel like I had made a bond with that Austrailian Sheperd. It was one of the only times I've felt like I really wanted to have my own dog. And I was sad, I never got to see her again. If there was any chance of me getting her, it was gone.
To this day, I still occasionally think about her. I hope she found a good family.
