BoC: Chrysalis 5

The Present - Before the Canterlot Incident 1 - The Plan Not long after Luna's return Chrysalis began to plan an attack on Canterlot. Her idea was to capture the weakened Princess of the night and replace her, effectively ensuring a spot among royalty. She would claim to be too weak to move the moon for the time being, until she had gathered enough love from Celestia to actually move it and definitely prove that she was the real Luna. The plan failed however before she could even start because Luna had regained a lot of her power already and had began to make subtle changes to the night sky, something that Chrysalis herself wouldn’t be able to explain or do if she was disguised as Luna. And as great as changelings were at acting, they were not able to steal the long-term memories of the ponies they replaced.. 2 - The other Plan Chrysalis thought about alternative ways to sneak into the royal family. Blueblood and his close relatives were too insignificant to make for a decent target. However, when she heard of the upcoming Royal Wedding of Princess Cadance, who was an alicorn and thus kind of important, she decided to target her. A wedding was perfect if she was able to replace the Princess because it would also mean a great source of power as a bonus. The Present - After the Canterlot Incident 1 - Negotiations Unfortunately for Celestia, Princess Luna decided to seek out Chrysalis on her own, shortly after the attack, to figure out just why Chrysalis had turned evil. Luna still remembered Chrysalis as rather shy and kind, if not a little arrogant, but not evil. It was to be expected that the changeling Queen didn’t take it well when Princess Luna suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Especially since it was directly after Chrysalis and her changelings had been blasted back into the Badlands. Weakened and cautious Chrysalis agreed to talk to Luna and when the Princess offered to let her feed once again, to make up for the lack of love of her sister, Chrysalis couldn’t help but offer to give Equestria and its ponies another chance. Another chance at peace, a very curious twist.
