What Is a Friend?

A friend is someone that'll stick with you, someone that won't ditch you, someone that doesn't use you. A friend is someone that will ask you how you're doing and send you little doodles cause they know it makes you smile. A friend is someone that you stay up with to talk about silly things, and end up falling asleep together on Facetime. A friend is someone that will sit and watch MLP with you when you're sad cause they know it makes you feel better. A friend is someone that'll tell you to come over and get out of the house when your parents are fighting. A friend will hold you close and let you cry to them even though they don't like physical contact. A friend is someone that doesn't let you sit quietly crying at lunch cause they're too busy texting people that make them cry everyday. A friend doesn't use your friendship for their own gain and threaten never talking to you again if you don't do something. A friend will stay up and help you write an essay at 3 am. A friend will sneak to the bathroom during class to call you and make sure you're okay when you haven't come to school for two weeks. A friend is someone that doesn't care what others think of you. A friend is not someone that abuses you, someone that makes you cry every night, A friend is not someone that goes around lying to you. A friend is not someone that talks about you online to people you've never met. A friend is not someone that'll get others to hate you before they even got to know you. A friend is not someone that sends you triggering things, knowing that they upset you. A friend is not someone that tells the entire school about your personal life. A friend is not someone that talks to you all night long, but ignores you once you walk into school. A friend is not someone that talks to you all about the other people their talking to and constantly tells you how much better they are. A friend is not someone that hurts you. A friend is someone that cares about you as much as you do them.
