BoC: Negotiations - Day 1

Negotiations Location - Ponyville Day 1 1PM Chrysalis arrived with four armored changelings. The changelings stay at one of the guest rooms on the first floor of the Crystal Castle. Chrysalis stays at the VIP guest room across the hallway of my [Twilight Sparkle] bedroom. She was left alone to settle in, two changelings guard her room while the other two guard the carriage she arrived with. [I wonder if they are going to stand there for the entirety of her visit] 4PM Unusual noise coming from the first floor, where the Queen is currently located. Upon checking on her it turned out she was redecorating; removing paintings of Luna and Celestia to replace them with her own drawings. [Badly drawn pictures of herself on the backsides of the actual paintings. It was silly, but hardly an insult considering how poorly they were drawn.] 4:30PM I could convince the changeling Queen to let me show her the rest of the castle. She wasn’t very eager to see it and seemed in a sour mood, but maybe that was just my impression, for all I know that could be her simply being herself. We stopped at the kitchen to get a snack. Chrysalis drank a glass of water and made a few comments about the terrible food ponies ate to which I simply smiled. So far this was going much better than expected. [My initial idea of how this would be going was much more exciting, I almost feel as if my magical wards and enchantments to the castle and its staff were for nothing. Maybe she is simply grumpy and not all that evil after all.] 5:30PM i was wrong. She is pretty evil. When I showed her Starlight’s room, Celestia knows why I thought that was a good idea, Queen Chrysalis ‘accidentally’ pulled her vanity mirror off the wall, breaking it. She did not even apologize. To quote her: “How unfortunate for Stardust” 6PM Our little tour ends. It felt like an eternity even though we were just walking around for 90 minutes. Chrysalis returned to her own room, requesting chocolate and water. She said she would spend the evening taking an extensive bath, so I suppose we have a few hours of peace and a good night’s sleep before we, before I have to endure her again. As for me, i plan on preparing my speech for tomorrow, after cleaning up Starlight’s room and attempting to restore her mirror. 10PM Last entry for the day. The mirror is whole once again [It took me almost two hours to fix it! Two hours that are wasted; that I am now behind my schedule!]. What surprises me actually is that Chrysalis has been rather quiet in the past few hours. Maybe she fell asleep in the tub; I am actually considering to check on her and take a picture if she did fall asleep. Anyway, almost done correcting some minor mistakes in my speech for tomorrow. I just hope I can convince Luna and Celestia to give my ideas for the integration of changelings into pony society a try! A five year peace treaty surely would benefit us all.
