or Part three of my background story
The past - Before Luna's banishment 3
When Chrysalis suspected that she was pregnant she quit school, immediately. Instead she locked herself inside with every book she could find on the subject to figure out what she should do about it. Before she could find a solution it was too late: several slimy, green eggs escaped her body. Disgusted and shocked she left them to die in the apartment she was living in. She wanted to leave and forget about the eggs she had laid, but whether it was instinct or empathy, she couldn’t. And Chrysalis returned to her place after only a few hours, hoping the eggs were still alive without her. She figured out that the eggs were able to consume love, even if they needed much less than she did, love that she could provide by collecting it from others and sharing it with her eggs. Chrysalis did this several times over the period of a month until the eggs hatched. The appearance of her children reminded of a mixture of larvas and foals. Something she could imagine many would find weird or disgusting, but she didn’t. She cared about them and shared a very unique bond with them. Chrysalis had 13 changelings, her children that grew up like one would expect it from ponies, they learned to talk and walk and eventually to shape-shift like her. They needed love just like Chrysalis and that meant for the Queen: she had to collect much more love than back when she was on her own.
