Carmine wasn’t usually a fan of such a holiday- or any holiday, for that matter, but even he couldn’t deny the little kid inside of him that was eager to see what all the fuss for this carnival was about. If it was a flop, at least he had his chance at scoring some candy while he was out.
He noticed that his choice of costume was... unique. Perhaps a little, if not very, unlike the groups of ghouls, skeletons and ghosts. No, his costume was an inflatable sunglasses emoji. The red stallion even completed the look by wearing a pair of sunglasses himself. Thankfully, the sunglasses had a secondary purpose: to hide the shame he felt after seeing the other fantastic costumes worn by the others.
At least there was candy.
Logan had gone to visit the carnival as he was in a Wonderbolt costume that seemed to be homemade although it seems making outfits wasn't a particular skill he had. He went mostly alone while his mom stayed home to take care of his little brother, he wanders around the carnival amazed at it as he plays a few of the games enjoying the experience as well as any candy he got. He was currently looking for any events or attractions going on

Acry hadn't had much of a chance to celebrate Nightmare Night before, not even as a foal, so she jumped at the chance to enjoy it now. She didn't really have a costume, but she had her art supplies, and some inspiration from a movie she watched with Ray. So now here she was, trotting into the Carnival with a ragged blue ribbon tied over her forehead and around the back of her head into a bow, if anyone asked what she was, Acry would have a chance to spook someone, and she was quite excited by the idea! The little mare glanced up and all around, taking in everything, her smile growing, as soon as she spotted the sweets she excitedly rushed over. It was already looking to be a wonderful evening!
DragonFly would have just gotten to the carnival to see what it was all about. Back at home they celebrated a similar holiday for a whole two Equestrian months and would dress up as their own fears and scare each other. Being that Nightmare night and the holiday he called Vonari Solol were somewhat similar and within almost the same time confused him since the two civilizations were billions of light years away from each other. Naturally he wanted to investigate and see how it was celebrated in detail and how much it actually meant to ponies here.
Dragon however didn't know how to deal with crowds whatsoever and was just standing near the entrance trying to think of something to do or waiting for someone to approach him, which to him was normal because of his own and several other alien cultures, blah blah, he was nervous and had severe anxiety when in crowds and always needed to be with someone.
Suddenly, Comp disappeared from the ground and ended up behind Unikitty, pushing her away from Derpycomp. "What do you think you're doing? Only can screw with him!"
She really hadn't felt like investing in a full outfit, and just had recycled her sexy cabaret dress from her night of fun with Ly a while back, accentuated by pure black lipstick and eyeliner, with some red eyeshadow. She's transporting her soon-to-be-hyped-up-on-sugar daughter on her back and trailing Liath with her, ready to spoil the Marish stallion with his first Nightmare Night. And herself with enough sweets to put her into a coma. It's time.
He tilted his head in confusion. "What did I do to mess with you?"
Neon was in her evil queen costume. Her three foals wandering around. Their bodies completely covered in pumpkin costumes. The only foal not wandering around was Cornflake who was upside down and struggling with his hooves flailing in the air. Neon sighed and helped him on his hooves where he ran off
Mmmmhhhmmm, he thought I was an alligator the first time we met. *she chuckles, and nudges Cornflake back onto his legs*
Starlight Notices a stallion, standing in front of the entrance and is debating if she should say something or just let it go.
Chuckling, Gen put the spider on Lula’s odd up-do. “I found it just laaaaaying around,†she remarked trying to play coy.
She ate half of her haydog in one bite, trying not to laugh over her spooked girlfriend. Snuggling up close to Lula, she prodded at her. “The big bad actors got you scared?†Gen gave her a wink before taking another bite. “We can head home anytime you need~†the mare teased.
The night sky sparkled with the shine of glimmering stars overhead as a soft and chilly breeze swept through the atmosphere. The evening was young, and the last rays of orange sunshine were barely visible as they disappeared below the horizon. Nightmare Night was here. Above the sound of chilling wind arose waves of glee and frightful screams. In the center of town, a carnival had just begun to take place in order to celebrate the very special occasion of spooky sights and monster bites. Ponies dressed in all sorts of creepy and fun costumes pranced around in their own fright filled wonderland, aiming to receive as many prizes and candy they could. The creepy carnival was decorated with pumpkins and ghosts, spiders and bats, skeletons and zombies! Various games, booths, and attractions littered the grounds with ponies of all ages gathered around. Shrieks of terror could be heard coming from the haunted house. Giggles and chatter came from the various contests and game booths spread out along the grounds. Various hoofsteps and startled cries echoed from inside the miniature corn maze. The night of tricks and treats was making its own chilling debut as the air filled with howling and laughter on this Nightmare Night.
*Of course, she would be dressed as a witch. Pointy hat, crappily put together broomstick and a black dress. She'd stand still mostly and spook any little fillies or colts that went by before giving out some treats herself*
"Yes please!" He pleaded as he struggled to untangle himself. "I woke up today and suddenly, I was mummified!"
Kookyshy dressed as Bat Pony and her daugther Brownie Swirl dressed as Cat arrive a little late at the Nightmare Night Carnival. "Look darling, so many ponies are here and so many things to do! What do you want to do first?" Kookyshy asks her daughter Brownie Swirl. "I would like to play the game, where you have to throw the plush spiders onto the net" Brownie Swirl answers to her mother. Kookyshy and Bronie Swirl then proceed to walk to the game, where Brownie Swirl start playing. "This is so much fun mum!" Brownie Swirl says. "I'm glad you are having fun my sweetie" Kookyshy replies. Brownie Swirl manages to get 2 of 3 plush spiders onto the net and wins a little cute bat plush. "Aww, mum look what I got!" Brownie swirl says. "That's an adorable plush you won there" Kookyshy answers. "Where do you want to go now?" Kookyshy asks her daugther. "I would like to talk a walk checking out the whole carnival to see what other great things there are" Brownie Swirl answers. Kookyshy and her daughter then start walking around the carnival.
As Kookyshy and her daughter Brownie Swirl finish the walk around the carnival to check out what it has to offer they find a stand selling all sorts of delicious candies. "Look mum cotton candy!" Brownie Swirl says. "Do you want some?" Kookyshy asks. "Yes, please mother" Brownie Swirl says to her mother with a cute face. "*laughs softly* Aww, alright my darling" Kookyshy says to her daugther and then proceeds to pay for her cotton candy. "Here you go little one" Says the seller. "Thank you very much" Brownie Swirl answers to the seller and takes a bite *nom* "Soo delicious!". "I am glad you like it *laughs softly*" Kookyshy says. "What is wrong mum?" Brownie Swirl looking at her mother confused. "You have cotton candy all around your mouth now from taking that big bite into the cotton candy" Kookyshy answers to her daughter. "Ahh *laughs*" Brownie Swirl laughs as she continues to walk on with her mother. After a few meters Kookyshy and her daugther meeting a familiar group of ponies. "Look Brownie Swirl! Ponies from the Canterlot Avenue community, let's go and hang out with them" Kookyshy says to her daughter, while being excited. "Alright, mom" Brownie Swirl says, while still eating the cotton candy. Kookyshy and her daugther Brownie Swirl then proceed to the group of different ponies from the Canterlot Avenue community and spend the rest of the Nightmare Night Carnival with them and having a lot of fun.
