The day of frights was one where even the adults had the opportunity to play dress-up and not be judged. Ephemeria Spring took that occasion to come with a simple outfit that fit within her simplistic needs and adorned a basic ragged lilac dress, accompanied with a gentle dye around the exposed parts of her coat to create a pale appearance. I probably wouldn't have a heart."
With nopony to stop him, many sweets were sampled, save for the haybacon chocolate bars. Nopony should ever consume those. Ever.
But he was starting to feel a little left out of the festivities proper, and with his rapier wit and princely charm, he conjured himself up the most dashing costume imaginable.
He stuck a half-eaten caramel apple to his forehead and tied a piece of cardboard to his back with some spare twine. "Finally," he whispered, tears welling up in his eyes and hoof clenched in accomplishment, "I can be a princess, too. Thanks, M. A. Larson."
Needless to say, Sky was not impressed by the sneak attack. In fact he got a good snicker out of that, if he didn't know better he'd say that timing was intentional. Either way it was soon back to snacks for the giant lizard. No one else seemed to be eating them so someone had to.
