The month of April is special in that many countries celebrate a certain Arbor Day. The day of the month can vary (though so can the month, but is generally celebrated during Spring), yet the meaning stays relatively the same. Groups of people set out to plant trees, educate about trees and tend to existing ones.
Trees are an integral part of our ecosystem and frankly survival. We rely on them for so much, yet it’s important we do not forget or take them for granted. So, during the month of April, we’ll be hosting a small event that is in the spirit of interacting with trees and nature.
To participate, do one of the following:
- Take a photograph of your hands planting a tree or seedling
- Draw a picture of a character in nature with trees, planting a tree or as a tree
- Write a short story or poem about trees
Post it to the Green-Hoof Group Page or upload with the tag #GreenHoofMonth.
Participants will receive a special badge upon completed review.
