That she's genuine. I can... 'hypnotize' her and she'll answer any question truthfully. She volunteered, so it'll work." With that, she turned and went back inside. She didn't know if mentioning this was helpful, but Seafoam had asked her to. It was important to the aqua pony. When he came back to the living room he'd find Seafoam scarfing down what was left of a casserole large enough to feed three ponies. This would not fully aid her healing, but she preferred it over asking for a blood donation. She was still... self-conscious about her vampiric urge for blood, no matter the fact it would fully restore her in seconds. Not unless the situation were dire. Just as he predicted, Seafoam did glare at him as he entered, and licked her lips clean of the food she’d been gorging herself on. She seemed to make an effort to display her fangs as she did this, or it might be an incidental effect of their notability. Either way she was not afraid to showcase them. She took pride in her vampirism, and the responsibilities that gave her. Margin was there too, as she promised she would to ensure things remained civil. Perhaps because of this Seafoam made no more aggressive movements or signals of body language as Hawk entered. The two mares appeared to wait for what he wanted to do next. Hawk He was not pleased at the prospect of Seafoam's honesty not being true or genuine, but he rolled with it for now. "One: I was a target. That implies that someone has been hunting me." he spoke almost more aloud to himself than he was to the other two, as well as in a manner to dissect the problem into smaller issues to be addressed easier. "Two: However...you" he said as he casually pointed to Seafoam. "were also present. Don't know, probably implying you were already after this....other...Seafoam?" he seemed still a bit too unsure on the mere concept of alternate selves. "I don't remember much, except that someone else came in as I was blacking out, I assume that'd be you." He rubbed the small knot on the back his head gently while he continued his side of info he already thought of. "You mentioned something about multiple versions of yourself. That implies you know more than I can ever hope to understand on my own. I'd like to get some context on what this is, to begin with. orange_man_from Seafoam held herself while Hawk spoke. They needed to be on the same page about this, or she'd be dragging a confused stallion all night. As if she needed more reasons to be angry. "Are you aware of parallel universes? There are rumors that gateways to these world exist within and outside Equestria. Worlds that are entirely akin to our own, or sometimes different in strange ways. Worlds where everypony is a biped, or where the victor between the Sisters was Nightmare Moon." Seafoam stopped and watched his reaction wearily. She was sick to her stomach to be forced to explain such elementary concepts to the stallion just to reach her point. But with Margin here, and the events of the night, she had no choice. Hawk "I thought it only a fairy tale..too many paradoxical elements that would nullify itself before coming into existence at all. At least..it's all I know of it. Multiple universes, yes..layers of dimensions stacked atop and folded into themselves." he said, gesturing with his wings to demonstrate what he said about the layering, more so for the sake of posterity. He refuted her tone, to sound as if she was speaking to one who was low-IQ and dull-witted. Hawk thought he made himself clear that he he was far from that, so he replied with his own surprising knowledge of such concepts. "And that suggests that she came here for some reason..or is stranded here..like me(This was spoken under his breath, was he heard? ooOoOoOOo)...same with you, I can assume?"

Equestria has many Star Touched items, but Rovina is the only one that can kill a Warped." She took a breath, and Margin's magic returned to Hawk. "She is soul-bound to the current Huntress, or, Hunter. She will reject all others. However, if the current Huntress is killed, or otherwise lost, I do not doubt Rovina would search for a new master. So after attacking Seafoam and I, maybe she had reason to suspect you a potential Hunter. Then Rosa, she was the previous Huntress. Though, if all that is true, I do not know why Rosa is unharmed." She looked out into the distance, where she sensed her Blood Sister and the Warped Seafoam to be. Rosa was being kept alive, but to what end?.. Hawk Hawk looked over to the direction Seafoam stared to. Now it was making sense. Finally got something out of her. he huffed to himself. One more note to stick to that board upon the blank wall of his mind, written onto it 'warped', followed by yet another labeled 'Star Touched'. Soul-binding, mirror dimensions, he reflected on it for a moment more and saw similarities to his own life. How his native time is now gone and only known in textbooks and in museums, the pendant he once wore that which was a seal to hold back something within him, and how he ended up in this world as well. "Are there any criteria that this...'Rovina' uses to judge its...wielder?" Merely saying such things felt weird to him. Magical items and advanced enchantments being put onto objects was one thing he was well aware of. But a living weapon? Thought only to belong in the realms of fantasy and imagination. He failed to suppress an inkling of satisfaction at the thought of it. That tiny part of him, to feel special for once. Nah, he was a nothing and a nobody; born as such and will die no different. None of this managed to reveal itself. orange_man_from "A wielder must be worthy." Seafoam partially droned, but kept her temper in line for now. "That is at Rovina's discretion. Indeed, even a Huntress can be deemed unworthy, and Rovina will not honor their soul with her talents. Seafoam and I are worthy, but Rovina rejects me since I am not the mare she is bound to. Until Seafoam returns, or Rovina decides to recruit a new master, we cannot harm this Warped Seafoam." Her tongue wanted to fall out of her mouth. This was sick. Talking to Hawk was like watching her very soul wither and die. Still, she wanted to answer his next question. "We cannot force Rovina to act. She has her own will. I know you won't like that, but it cannot be changed." Indeed, all this talk about magical weapons and items, special creatures that can only be killed by a special sword that chooses masters. It was all very strange and overwhelming, but somehow Seafoam was ok with all of it. She's had a few months to get to grips with this hidden war in Equestria's shadows. Hawk Her visible faces of disgust and distaste were as clear as day, even though only the night sky above offered little light. Can she just get over her hatred? Hawk still didn't understand what about him triggers her so much. Perhaps it makes her think about something discomforting. But what that is, dare he bother to dive into that rabbit hole? "So we look for this world's Seafoam, where ever goes. Any place to be alone, a home, family, anything or place would be a start. Preferably before the enemy strikes again." "Oh..." he remembered, his own belongings. He still was missing his eyepatch, his weapon and an unmistakable book of great importance to himself. "And I will have to return to the place I rented a room at, my things were there on the night of that attack." He dreaded the thought of the Arcanine Values getting into the wrong clutches, Lord knows what one could glean from Hawk's world and life. A great deal of things that could be leveraged in certain ways. orange_man_from Seafoam had to suppress another bout of flaming indignation. He spoke of 'finding Seafoam' as if the thought were novel to her. From the eyes of a third party, this conclusion by Hawk would be reasonable. Seafoam was missing, the key to surviving the night was with her, let's go and find her. But Seafoam took personal insult to Hawk's musing. She was the very mare they would look for, she would know where Seafoam's refuge is by her very nature. Of course, there was an important bit of information Hawk hadn't heard that would allow him to see the futility in their search, and her brain reminded herself of this before she had another vile outburst. Only because her friend Margin was here, Seafoam managed to control herself. "There is no 'finding Seafoam'. She is no longer in this world, I can sense it." Her voice harbored an anger that he would propose such a plan, but she kept herself otherwise under control. "When the tear took her, that presence in Equestria, just as I sense that Warped Seafoam, had gone. When she returns I shall know of it, until then Seafoam is beyond our reach." The mare had to take a calming breath to halt her aggravation, and shuddered as the Warped Seafoam's presence in Equestria overwhelmed her momentarily. She apparently had no comment about retrieving his items. She either didn't care, or simply accepted the responsibility. Hawk doesn't know Seafoam well enough to tell the difference. Hawk Neither did he care enough to worry about the such distinctions. His disappointment upon hearing the news of the difficulty in finding the other Seafoam was immeasurable, and his night was ruined. So that would settle it, then, silver-lining in the cloud was that it was much easier to decide on returning to try and fetch his items, assuming they still were there. "You think that tear was naturally or artificially generated?" he asked, connecting dots and more notes to that board which was increasingly filled with sticky notes of various colors connected by threads wrapped around the thumb tacks that held them into that thin layer of cork. His last question, he came to understand through logic, would determine how high the stakes truly were. The former being just a moment of misfortune and chance, and the latter being the result of something larger at play. And his involvement into this only drove his motives to destroy the Black Rose even more. orange_man_from Seafoam shook her head gently, turning to look at Margin for a moment before looking at Hawk. "If it were intentional, why am I here? If natural, why just as the Warped approached?" She shook her head again, simply lacking the pieces to this mystery. "Perhaps Rosa knows something of these events, and that is why she is kept alive. But for now my plan is this: I must learn these secrets of my enemy, for that I must build a Star Room." She paused momentarily, summoning her strength to say the following. "I will need help with this task." Hawk Ah, she 'is' capable of logic and thought. he mused to himself, taking in a breath through is nose as he rose to stand. With this 'star room' Seafoam just mentioned, and how she spoke of it in such context. Note to self: Look into this 'room', if it can possess ways to unlock answers for this problem, what harm is there in a potential solution to the Black Rose? Maybe even a cure from this curse His right eye gently stung with itchiness, once more a forehoof moved to rub it lightly to alleviate the irritation. "Very well. What would you have me do?" he asked, looking straight at Seafoam. orange_man_from At this point Hawk would have enough blood recovered to be functional, though not at the top of his game. Margin continued using her magic anyway, even as she grew more tired in her curled up spot. "I need an 8' by 12' room made of concrete, sound insulated, exposed to the night sky, and I need a male blood donor." Her vampiric eyes did not waver at this third requirement. Seafoam does not flinch at the truth. "They will not die, I simply require some blood for the consecration. I will rescue Rosa and gather the remaining items myself." (yeah I just need to keep Hawk and Rosa on separate tracks, no reason to complicate things with all our characters in the same spaces) "If you cannot do these things, I will find somepony who can." Hawk (( Oh boy that would be quite a handful )) This sounded too close to Blood-magick, the necessity for blood was curious. The other elements made sense, the rectangular shape of the room with an open top seemed almost like a radar dish in a way. Sound insulation, that must be a focus is needed for something to be cast through or into it? He despised the very thought. Willingly giving his blood to a ritual, oh how low he has fallen, lo his desperation has brought him to such reaches. "Death is not my concern" he simply said, speaking in a manner that implies his agreement. orange_man_from Seafoam snarled at him, and his willingness to be the blood donor. "I will not accept you as a donor. Find me somepony else, or I shall use my son as I oft have. You will have to find somepony to build the concrete structure, correct?" Satisfied to leave no room for discussion, Seafoam unfurled her wings and prepared to take flight. "You may retrieve your things. She did not damage your sword." Hawk He glared at her with a ferocious glint in his eye, the nerve of her to pull a stunt like that. What what she up to, trying to play mind games on him? "Then you should have left out the blood donation, for it is irrelevant to me." he said almost demandingly, as if scolding her for speaking to him in such a manner. "Do not make that same mistake next time, and take this seriously." If all she needed me to do, all she had to say was for me to find a store or warehouse that sold bags of concrete..what an overly talkative mare "And it's not a sword, but you can call it 'Staem'." he finished off, really finding it quite burdensome to deal with such a hot-headed pony. Watching her begin to take her own leave, he himself turned to leave in search for his own items. Afterward, to take care of this errand. orange_man_from Seafoam snarled, challenging his eye with hers. Oh she hated the red stallion. The blood donation was his chance to be resourceful, and instead he threw it back at her with distaste. She figures that's what she gets for trying to trust him with anything more important than concrete mixing. Ignorant stallion! Seafoam beat her mighty wings against the air, and quickly disappeared into the night, leaving just Hawk and Margin Growth as she took on her dangerous quest. Margin did not move from her place, but did make an effort to look up at Hawk. "Let me stay here. The forest will help recover my strength..." Hawk "After I look for my things, assuming there be anything left, I'll see what I can do about getting bags of concrete." he said, turning his attention to Margin. "Either she wants my help or she doesn't, she cannot have both." Though he still had some intention on donating some of his own blood, should the need arise. Hawk still found the mind of that teal-hued mare to be a nuisance. Why bring up things that she didn't need him for? What purpose did such objectives serve if he was not to be assigned such task? He glanced back up toward the direction Seafoam took flight off into, the temptation to finally give her a piece of his own mind should they ever meet again. From there he walked off, to do his part whether Seafoam liked it or not.
