Here goes at making something a little new for Seafoam) Over some pie and tea sat two mares at a picnic table. Seafoam being so difficult to hold down was always on the minds of those after her. Even for her friends, her visitations are short and polite. Once everything was taken care of and she decided what the rest of her day should contain, Seafoam somehow found a modest method to excuse herself and take off! It's peculiar, and has the opposite effect she attempts imparting... Her friends feel like they burden her with their presence. How selfish to take up the time of such a clearly busy pony? And she's so patient, one can't ever tell if they're already crossing the line... So Zesta knows she has to meet Seafoam where she is. And you wouldn't believe how much time she spends outdoors these days! Even at nighttime when everypony is asleep, Seafoam remains. Seafoam and her scouring, alert, iridescent vampony eyes. That's what everypony else sees at least. But Zesta saw more than that. Zesta will swear up and down about the alienation of the poor mare's soul behind those eyes. Buried hope, repressed joy, the sadness she tucked away. Nopony else can notice these things it seemed. What a blessing that Zesta is so empathic, right? Seafoam hardly partook of her pie, that should be to nopony's shock. Zesta pinned down her favorite flavor, raspberry, adorably the same color and Zesta's coat. And in fact Seafoam ate a little more than usual. Good signs, good signs. Now she just needs to open up another conversation. They can talk about sword handles for as long as Seafoam wants of course, but the break for pie had left a little more dead air than acceptable. "Learned anything new about your vampire abilities?" "Yes ma'am." Aw, always so proper. Makes Zesta's heart flutter when she does that. "I no longer puncture myself when summoning the shadow armor by command. It's instinctual most occasions, yet I aim to harness it consciously." Her face turned to Zesta, and what an elegant motion indeed. The utter control she has over herself and every powerful muscle in her being. It demonstrates the very nature of discipline and focus. "Ooh, sounds challenging! Could you show me what it looks like someday?" To that Seafoam nods. Oooh, such an understated, beautiful sign. Zesta smiles with pure glee. "Make me proud ya'know?" Of course Zesta would be proud. Proud, giddy, supportive... Seafoam's a beautiful friend...
