It was impossible to sleep now even if she tried to return. It's been years since she last saw the Santurnari, though they held a close bond. They were the ponies that took her in after she escaped her sentence of slavery for her mortal enemies. Badly injured, emotionally scarred with a cherry of betrayal for good measure, and carried by one goal: survival. They taught her much, and she learned well. She carried over her parent's teaching to be obedient and wise, and the Santurnari saw fit to foster her according to this core calling. In her years, she impressed even the elders to the extent they nearly gave her the highest title of honor a non-Pure could hold: Granted. So prestigious amongst them that nopony ever claimed it before. Yet she chose to live with Chiller Sway when he became dissatisfied with living the rest of his days there, so Seafoam remains a Guard to this day. It's not a decision she regrets. And now she was taking a new calling. To become the Huntress. To live as long as the royal sisters themselves, outlive even a Santurnari's lifespan. She may even be the first creature to witness multiple generations of their kind other than Discord. How novel. The interaction she had with Yara just now went far less then pleasantly, and soon they will become more pushy for answers to her changes, answers she's cautious to give. This species is capable of many powerful feats. Learning to monitor the Dream Realm is trivial to their magic. Yet they are her mentors, the reason for who she is today. Telling him no was akin to denying a father, but it was necessary to do. She cannot comprehend how much trouble they'd be able to stir if they got the information she knows into their hooves. Not from malice, but unfettered ambition. Humans are the only thing she or Sway can compare their insatiable curiosity to, even to their own detriment. You'd think for such a species of calculating ponies they'd be more like the Romulans... Sometimes Sway's human knowledge was a curse... Still in the late hours of the night, Seafoam decided to spring to action to locate Rosa. Certainly a difficult task on its own, but she hopes she's in her quiet Canterlot home. So she straps on her sword and silently exits her home, not delaying in her flight until she reached the house of her new mentor and knocked... (Rosa Cavalier whether she's home or not isn't notably consequential, but I'll continue in the comments either way)
