With nothing to do, and his bandmates all busy, Nar made a spur of the moment decision this morning. With the weather warming up for a day, he decided to take Cookie to the amusement park. As he's looking online to buy tickets, he decides to invite his new friend, Aki along as a sort of 'welcome to the city' thing. He texted her to ask, went to set his phone down, and it buzzed before he even managed to set it on his desk. "Yes." Later that morning, Nar takes Cookie over to Aki's apartment, where they pick her up, and make their way via tram to Vanhoover's "Windy Peaks" amusement park. Nar is a little confused at first, as it looks like Aki is wearing the same outfit she was wearing yesterday, except it's completely clean. He figures she just has multiples, or she just did laundry. The trio spent their day at the amusement park mostly playing games, and going on the rides Cookie wasn't too short to ride. Aki seemed pretty uncomfortable with the large crowds at first, but after developing a strategy of only looking at Nar when they walked, she seemed fine. Nar manages to win a big stuffed animal for Cookie after dunking a particularly mean heckler in a dunking booth. At first, he insulted Nar's hawiian shirt, which he ignored. Then he insulted his goggles, which he also ignored. Then, he committed the unforgivable sin of insulting his straw hat. The hat his grandfather passed down to him. The hat that's been in the Yakushi family for many generations. That could not stand. One well placed, and hard thrown ball later, and the heckler was sent careening into the frigid water below. Throughout the day, Nar started to notice that Aki was getting pretty touchy. She tended to hold on to his arm when they walked. Which, he thought was just her using him as a guide. Then she started wrapping her arm around his. The final act that really got Nar thinking was near the end of the day. As the trio got off of their last ride, they stopped for a picture to keep as a souvenir for their visit. When the photographer asked them to stand a little closer together, Aki wrapped her arms around his, and started looking up at him with what he thinks was a blush on her cheeks. For some reason, Nar sort of just, went with it, and placed his hand on her side. After the photo, Nar realized. The photographer orchestrated this. Clever. Nar buys two copies of the photo. One to frame in his room, and one for Aki to keep. Afterwards, he takes Aki back to her apartment, then heads back home with Cookie for some rest after a long day of excitement.
