Despite being a bit tired from using his energy reserves, Deafy hugs back with a warm smile! Another job well done and two more bits gathered. Today is being so productive, maybe he could get enough bits to buy some tools!
There the two sat side by side, two dummies on the road. I mean, it doesn't need to go further than that, it's already a perfect scene.
Mother comes to sit beside her daughter Shen, stroking her mane softly. Shen had gotten away from her by running down the street in excitement to meet this pone, and Lemon recognized him so she didn't mind. Now there were two dummies and a lemon. None of them really speaking a single word.
Deafy uses his broken voice to say something in his native language out loud just before tripping on a root and falling face-first onto the ground.

Oop, those were some quick reactions from Silver! Deafy is still trying to understand what happened, but will surely hug back.
Silver sets him back down and brushes him off, ruffling his mane. "Make sure you watch where you're walking next time!"

Amity fixes a black piece of paper with small holes in it onto the end of a flashlight and makes stars for the cute.

Lemon did the first hoof clap, a little confused by the second gesture, but trying for the second one anyways.
She was still a bit confused when she missed the second one, tilting her head and looking at Deafy before giving an adorable little smile.

Deafy does the same thing again. I mean, at this point, I'm just as amazed as Pinkie there. I still don't know what he's doing, but the fact that he made it twice could make it either bad or better.
Is it a free hug or a deluxe hug though? Deluxe hugs cost 2 bits but come with a pat on the back. Silver probably doesn't know that though, its not like Deafy carries around his 'Free hugs/Deluxe hugs' sign all the time. Either way, the deaf pone will hug Silver in response.
