All number cards [excluding the ace] are worth 2,3,4,5,6,7,8&9 Ponits respectively. Kings, Queens and Jacks are 10 points and the Ace can be either 1 or 11 if needed. Did i get that right? Or am I thinking of a different card game?

Yeah that’s the value of the cards in the game, card counting tho is different and is is assigning the cards a different numerical value (1-6 is +1, 7,8,9 is 0 and 10-ace is -1) and using that number to determine whether u should raise or lower ur bets
