Sirens are actively hunted Whether it be to lessen the competition for fishing (the fisherponies) Or just to get rid of them Or, to have them as exotic "pets" They are actively sought out and hunted Which is why not many are seen nowadays Hymn is a different gal. She came up on land, and somehow managed to avoid all this. But, Tide and Anemone, were not so lucky. They lost most of their pod to fisherponies killing them to lessen the competition.
