Seafoam stare deep into the Ponyville night sky, transfixed upon the distant stars. She didn't move from her seat on the grass in an hour, lost in the expanse of black and the speckles of white, a sky so vast her mind could not comprehend its infinite depth. Yet, here she observed the impossible to convey. Her perception of the sky had grown tremendously since her vampony transformation one week ago. From gazing to perceiving, from awe to wonder, from dying-- to undead.
Her previous methods of meditation paled in comparison to the new experience of beholding the night sky. It engrossed her, surrounded her, with it she felt as part of something different than before. Something she understands less. Some great system which no matter how much she learns, she will never fully know. Her world was still real, Equestria was still real, but the stars... The way she heard them speaking to her. Who were these Star Creatures? What was their purpose? Do they monitor Equestria alone, or is their role so much more vast?

Stars. More spots in the sky than flickering white. Beautiful purples, orange, greens, clusters--
--the expanse.

An interruption brought her back down to Equestria. A thick grey cloud had approached on her throughout the night and impeded her view, the endless expanse had gone. Hidden by a blanket of dark, claustrophobic grey. That wave of claustrophobia quickened her heartbeat as she looked at the world around her. Come on Seafoam, focus. Grass, tree, Ponyville homes... Bring it in...
She exhales slowly and looks back at the clouds. Part of the sky was still visible, though the clouds continued to pile in. Her stargazing should draw to a close anyhow, she needs to continue honing her vampony powers. After all if she is to taking the role of Star Huntress, she needs to be as fit for the role as possible. She will not let down Rosa. When the time comes, despite reservations... she will follow through her duty.
