It was a rather quiet afternoon here in the Everfree. Obsilion would be making his way to the Tree of Harmony to start his.....I guess you can call it rehabilitation. As he walked he would be lost in thought, thinking about everything he's been through. He thought about all of his responsibilities. He thought about the burden that was placed on his shoulders. He sighs a bit and shakes his head as he tries to clear his mind, allowing himself to just listen to his surroundings for a moment.
As he walked, he soon found himself in a small clearing that was nowhere near where he wanted to go. He hadn't even realized he was heading the opposite way till now. He begins to look around to try and figure out where he is. He soon spots a cave that just seemed to have just appeared from nowhere. By this time, he was starting to get confused as he stared at the cave's entrance.
The Tree of Harmony would then appear behind him, taking the form of Twilight Sparkle before walking over to him. "Glad to see you could make it Obsilion. I was starting to think you wouldn't show up."
Obsilion turns and looks towards the entity as it walks over. "So you brought me here.....Whats with the cave?"
The tree smiles at him. "The cave is your first lesson. You still hold on to the past. You have yet to truly let go. Today you will learn how to truly let go. Let go of all burdens, fears, and worries. Allow yourself to relax, even if its only for a moment."
Obsilion goes quiet as he looks towards the cave's entrance. "......."
The tree smiles and slowly disappears as it speaks. "Enter the cave....I will see you once you've learned to let go..."
Obsilion would then look towards where the tree once was, opening his mouth to speak but closing it once he sees no one was there. "......." He then sighs a bit and slowly enters the cave.
As Obsilion entered the cave, he would immediately feel something...strange. That's all he was able to describe it as. He couldn't figure out what exactly this feeling was though...It was to complicated to put into words. Whatever this feeling was, he knew it meant something or someone was here. Either that, or there was some form of magic at play. Obsilion would just shrug it off and make his way deep into the cave system.
The cave system started of small for a while before slowly widening. As Obsilion traveled deeper, he would soon come across a rather huge open space in the cave. This open space led to a deep drop with a pool of water at the bottom. There were quite a few bats and plenty of stalagmites all around this open area. The only form of light in the cave was the small amounts of glowing mushrooms that were clustered in certain parts of the area.
Obsilion was taking a moment to admire the open area, finding it a bit peaceful. That was until he started to get strange feeling. A wave of extremely cold air washed over him, causing his entire body to shiver. He was starting to feel like he was being watched. His senses were running wild now. He was starting to feel paranoid. On top of that, he found that he couldn't even think straight. His mind was running wild, now constantly running through all of his troubles, all of his burdens, and all of his responsibilities. All of this combined had sent him into a small panic attack. He starts to breathe heavily and quickly, despite trying to calm down and clear his head. Why is this happening? What in the world is going on?
Obsilion would turn around to leave, now feeling that this was definitely not a safe place at all. Upon turning around, he could just barely make out what looked like some sort of phantom before he is thrown through a few stalagmites by an unknown force. By this time the feeling of fear and anxiety had gotten much worse. Obsilion was unable to think as he slowly recovered from being thrown. His entire body was now shaking a bit as he looked towards his opponent. It was indeed some sort of phantom that has taken the form of a pony, though it also stood on its hind legs, appearing to be bipedal just like him.
Once Obsilion fully recovered, the phantom would attack him. The phantom would get close and would throw a quick punch at Obsilion. Out of instinct, Obsilion would quickly block the punch. Though he truly felt fearful towards the phantom, he now also felt a bit of confidence at seeing he was able to touch the phantom and even block its attack. The phantom would growl as it continues to attack him, its attacks being quick, powerful, and relentless. Obsilion was trying his best to keep up, but failed. It was like the Phantom knew everything he was going to do before he did it. Every time Obsilion would try to counter, the Phantom would just block his attack like it was nothing and would continue to beat him to a pulp.
Soon enough, Obsilion would be too dazed to do anything. The Phantom had broken three of his ribs, his left leg,and his right arm. Obsilion had many cuts and bruises and was also bleeding from his head. The Phantom would soon kick Obsilion towards the edge of the cavern, slowly walking towards Obsilion afterwards. Obsilion would cough up some blood and he slowly sits up on his knees. He was too weak to fight back at this point. His vision was slowly going black. As the Phantom got close, Obsilion would look up into it's eyes, wanting to know what was behind those eyes. The last thing Obsilion would see was himself. He could only see himself in the Phantom's eyes. The Phantom would just stared down at Obsilion for a moment before kicking him off the edge and watching him fall.
As Obsilion fell, his mind run through flash backs of his entire life up to now. In the end, all he could think of was his daughters, Sylvia and Lilac. After all this time he thought he would be ready to die, but he wasn't. He didn't want to leave his daughters without their father, especially not Sylvia. He sighs slightly as his vision continues to grow dark. "......At least....she's in good.....hooves..." was all he could manage to say. He would soon land in the cold pool of water that was at the bottom of the cavern as he then falls unconscious.
