//Part 2. Music because why not.

Howling wind slowly gives way to total silence. The bright glow of a flashlight illuminates the surprisingly spacious caverns of the mineshaft. Stone intermingles with ice, and a bitter cold permeates the cavern. The remnants of what used to be a mining operation sit half-frozen scattered about the cave. Soft hoofsteps are the only sound to be heard in these tunnels. As any creatures who might have inhabited them left long ago.
It almost felt peaceful to Asuka. It likely would have been were it not for the current situation. Not to mention that this mine was located in a defunct city. Roray's flashlight is the only source of light for the time being. Asuka has her own, but she's decided it would be better to save it for an emergency. As the two descend further Asuka can't help but wonder what happened to the city outside. How could an entire city with thousands, maybe tens of thousands of inhabitants be built, and disappear without every popping up on the map of Equestria, or in any history book?
Roray's shout of surprise snaps Asuka out of her thoughts. She sees Roray quickly beginning to slide downwards, having fallen onto his back. Asuka rushes forward to grab him while keeping her back hooves on solid stone. She begins to drag Roray back up the icy slope before he begins to slide again. Despite her best efforts Asuka finds Roray is getting heavier, and heavier. Without warning Roray is yanked by some unseen force down the slope, bringing Asuka with him. The two slide in silence, as screaming would do nothing. Roray's flashlight illuminates the path around 60 feet ahead before the light is suddenly extinguished. Following a brief, but fast descent the two crash land onto stone.
Asuka is the first of the two up. She turns on her own flashlight to check on Roray. Luckily neither of the two suffered more than a few bruises. She helps the old stallion to his hooves before searching for his flashlight. Once found, she picks up, and hands it back to Roray. Following a brief respite to catch their breath, and process what just happened the two continue forwards, as that's the only direction they can go now.
The two walk for what only feels like a few minutes before Roray extinguishes his own flashlight. Asuka follows suit to find a light orange glow coming from farther down the cave. It appears there was a curve in the path up ahead. Rounding the corner the pair spot quite a few things that probably shouldn't be in a mine. First, they find a few lit lanterns around some form of campsite. In the middle of the campsite laid a tent with a cooler, and two thermos' sitting on top of it. Finally, there was a radio sitting on a rock with a cassette player playing on loop in front of the microphone. It seemed another rock had been placed on top of the 'transmit' button. The two approach to listen to the cassette. The contents appear to confirm that whoever set this up was the person, or people they had come to rescue.
"Is anybody out there?! We're stuck in a tunnel! It's closed off behind us! Our coordinates are [X Number, Y Number] [X Number, Y Number] [X Number, Y Number]. Please send help! We don't have a way back, and we don't have the tools to dig ourselves out!"
The two investigate the remainder of the camp to find two sleeping bags in the tent, and the thermos' both half-full of now cold soup. A grim realization begins to set in. There's no telling how long that cassette has been playing on loop for. Judging by the lit lanterns around the camp Roray guesses at most, it's been a day since the radio was activated. With this new information the two proceed. They need to catch up to whoever is down here, and find a way out before they become trapped themselves.
