(Hey, a new character I am building! I must be really bored!)
Ponies, meet Gerald. Gerald Bidwell. Gerald here is a traveling merchant who specializes in handmade apothecary, among other things. This griffon travels with his constantly mesmerized minotaur named Bismark. As far as Gerald is concerned, Bismark exists for the sole purpose of pulling his cart and, of course, fixing his cart. In the public's eye, Gerald won't let anyone see anything but a griffon and his trusty sidekick. Enough about Bismark, he's not important...
Gerald 'Jay' Bidwell started life as a young chick in the region of Griffonstone, to the north of Equestria. His family, and him by extension, had next to nothing, as did many in the wilderness region of Griffonstone. His parents were knowledgeable of the occult, and had very pagan beliefs. These beliefs were passed down to Gerald at a young age, and through these teachings he learned a particular set of skills...
As time went on, and as Gerald learned about the land, and the fickle nature of money as it seldom came and left in his household, he decided that the best way to survive in this money driven world was to earn it. His practices started off nefariously, and the young griffon found himself in the city after emigrating from the chilling wastes of the mountainous wilderness. Once there, he took to petty theft and pick-pocketing, but after learning that such a way of life would certainly make for a short life, Gerald decided to make his economic endeavors a bit more legitimate. With his extensive knowledge of useless plants and fungi in tandem with the unique teachings of his parents which we won't go much into, Gerald launched himself a business in selling home-made tinctures and oils. These, of course, did not work, but he didn't let his buyers know! His strategy was to sell a bunch after talking it up, then skip town with the profits. After some time of doing this, Gerald found himself with enough money to purchase a wagon, but who would pull it? Well, he applied his other set of skills on old Bismark, a washout Minotaur who was traveling alone, seemingly without a family or purpose. No one would miss him anyways...
Gerald is very driven when it comes to monetary gain. He's greedy, and will go to troubling lengths to part you of your coin.
Gerald is not always very nice, though he puts on a salesman face most of the time, and he is very good at convincing others about the benefits of his product, of which there are many. Many many benefits to his product. Ask him, and pick some up today.
Gerald doesn't believe in having many friends. His traveling lifestyle more or less prohibits such contact, and he sees the act of making friends a waste of time, and a cut into his bottom line. The only friends Gerald needs are his 'mechanic', and anyone willing to buy his product.
Gerald is a male griffon. Gerald's sexuality is none of your darn business. His alignment is most likely neutral evil?
(More to come, most likely.)
