Dear Princess Celestia,
Politics are no substitute for friendship. Friends are not conveniences.
These are simple enough to understand on their own, I should hope, and yet I was given a choice today. Forsake a long standing friendship, or stay friends with a particular pony that seems to value world views over personal character. It is sad that some people have such quarrelsome and isolating attitudes, especially when they're decent at RP.
Out of respect, I won't name names. However, I will say that if this person should forever retain this personal outlook amongst all their peers, then the first name is aptly put.
