For a moment, the fighting seemed to stop, monster and pony alike stopping the fight as an otherworldly shriek came from the fallen beast, the mare already nowhere to be seen as she swooped up from her dive some hundred feet away, the momentum carrying her back up to the skies as her wings unfurled, flapping to give her that much-needed extra bit of speed to get back up to cloud level and take aim at her next target. Already she had found one, a crow distracted fighting off three guards. As it swung a talon, the mare dived back down, a plan set in motion. There was little she could do about the fighters who were already wearing armor, but if the platemail could ensure their protection, then she could take advantage of the distraction they provided to strike. It wasn't much - these crows were gathering reinforcements just as quickly as she would be able to take them out - but she had faith that she would at least be able to take out a few of these monsters before they caught on. After that, who knew how effective her strikes would be.

<p>The mare hadn't made it more than a few feet into the air when a number of armored ponies swooped down to the ground, intercepting her midflight, numerous pointed weapons positioned in a manner designed to box her in and prevent further motion. Her ears pinned back as one stallion, a rather burly-looking fellow, made his way down to her, barking orders.</p> <p>The mare blinked once, awestruck. An attack? Then - these ponies were refugees. Star had many questions, but even without her special talent it was clear that the ponies in uniform had much more pressing matters than answering her questions. For now, she'd have to keep her head down, at least until she could figure out why she had been brought here. The mare glanced down, lowering herself down to a nearby alleyway where the stampede of ponies were not, watching the pegasi above. These pegasi were much bigger than she was used to - clearly these were not Butterfly Island pegasi - but their wingspans were no bigger than those of her people.</p> <p>"Stay safe." she spoke, her ears perking up as she glanced at the retreating horde of ponies, guards on the ground rushing feverishly to keep the crowd under control. The mare frowned, and followed behind. First things first, she needed answers, preferably from someone at liberty to afford her the time of day.</p>

<p>The mare stood there, eyes wide, as she ran out to a group of ponies being escorted by a small battalion of armored horses. In her panic, her mind hardly registered that she was looking at non-pegasi, as she stood there, all she could see was that the ponies being led into the city didn't look like prisoners of war, but many of them looked weary, hungry. She could hear the rhythmic hoofsteps of the ponies, the sound of mother quieting their foals.</p> <p>Suddenly, a loud alarm sounded, the mare flinching back as she glanced toward the gates, the mare noticing as the ponies brandished blades and polearms alike, the mare only now noticing the faint glow of magic that held the weapons in place. "Horned One?" she whispered out loud, her question lost in the panic as the hoofbeats devolved into chaos, the mare leaping up into the sky with a powerful flap of her heavy wings as the supposed refugees stampeded in her general direction.</p>

Silver Sparkle woke to the sound of loud voices outside of her mountain cabin. She rose slowly from her bed, careful not to disturb the kitten fast asleep on her bed. As she was reordering her ruffled bedsheets, she heard the sound again, expecting that her mother would take care of it. This is when she remembered, to her shock, that her mother was away, leaving her and Snowball alone. She ran from her room to the door that connected the cold, outside world with her warm living room. She peered out a frosted window to see before her two stallions speaking to one another. With a squeal, she ducked behind the door, hoping they had not seen her.

Orion would find claw markings and the walls leaking a sickly pale shade of blood Dream smirks as he looks down at the barrier as he would focus fire his weapons at Defined to keep him off balance as he flew about.

Dream smirks before slowly fading away as if he were a mere illusion of the light. A ghostly apparition that was never there to begin with. Of course, Grey reacted fast as he had already had teleported Defined over to his side as the beasts all began to back off away from the kingdom. Orion found that the stab to the face only pissed off the Beast as it rammed at him

<p>Orion would see what looked to be an old Saddle Arabian Themed Restrauant that was abandoned or supposedly abandoned as a strange Pegasus would run out of the said establishment. </p> <p>Star Catcher found in front of her a very bleak sight as guards both battle hardened scarred were leading groups of ragged ponies into the city. Pegasi wearing worn and weathered gold armor would be flying above in the air looking down at the ponies on the ground. It must've been quite a change in environment for Star Catcher to witness.</p> <p>Soon enough, Guards upon the wall nearby would ring an alarm that barked throughout the city. The guards looking after the approaching ponies would brandish weapons and yell for the ponies to enter the city quickly as an approaching army was found to be heading to this place to seige and attack the capital.</p> <p>"Get to safety, citizens!" A guard yelled out wearing grey armor as a squad of pony soldiers would follow him to man the walls and prepare the defenses.</p>

"Chaos Magic User? That's who we are turning to in this time of crisis. While I personally believe that fighting one force or destruction with another force of destruction is the best of ideas, I guess there is merit in keep you around. Just keep your magic to yourself and things will be fine." The Unicorn said before turning to order the rest of the guards to prepare as a horde of half pony half beasts creatures could be seen making their way to the city. The guards nodded at Orion and simply motioned for him to enter the sanctuary as they become more tense of a looming threat. The Mare looked at Star Catcher for only a moment a bit confused and befuddled by such a question. Of course, it wouldn't be long until she recovered as she said, "I see, Princess Celestia is our loving Monarch who rules Equestria alongside Princess Luna, her sister. Long ago, the three races lived with close tensions to one another and while peace was established, there were still shaky relations here and there. It wasn't until that the Princess came along and united the three races under a single banner, that we were able to experience true peace. Living under her rule, us ponies have known peace for centuries and everytime a major threat appears, the Princess and her sister swoops in to foil the evils that seek to ruin this land."

Pierce the heart of a crow she did as while these terrifying flyers had numbers and pure brutality, they lacked proper tact as they wouldn't see this Pegasus coming as one of their members was taken down faster then they could have reacted. It seems that she was right, speed would be needed to deal with such creatures as their slow reaction time was quite apparent. The creatures would continue to come at the shield wall formation made by Defined and the Unicorn Commander as they pounded their bodies against the shields of the unicorns forming the shield wall. It was up to both Defined and this Unicorn to hold the line, though for how long? Orion would see many of the refugees around him getting panicked and anxious of the action happening as some were looking more and more panicked to almost start a riot.

<p>As soon as Orion reached the entrance, he found many platoons of guards stationed around the area. Pegasi guards were flying above in the air to monitor the area before as more ponies entered the city.</p>

It wouldn't be OP as much as he would think as the hunter aimed downward and using the faintly hidden muzzles of guns on his wings would shoot downward to propel him into the air as he took flight. Orion soon enough found a dead rat in an alleyway

Soon, the nation of Equestria was under fire and now embroiled within the flames of war. Fighting upon three fronts, the ponies were thrust into a fight for their lives. Each day the war went on, ponies were injured or worst captured and territories were taken or annexed. Canterlot now stands as the last bastion of hope and safety for ponies to live. Pegasi cities are act as military bases and the frontline within the war. The Status of the Crystal Empire is currently unknown as communications were recently cut off from the Empire. Pushed into a corner, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Princess Cadence, along with the Bearers of the Elements decided to use a spell forged by the great Star Swirl the Bearded. A spell to call upon heroes destined to aid in the defense of ponykind if the nation was ever threatened. The spell was never truly tested and Star Swirl died before the spell could even be finished.</p> <p>A desperate last act, they cast the spell and from it ponies from the more peaceful days before the war are dragged to the future. Upon their body a tattoo can be found, a glowing blue tattoo of an hourglass. While one is unable to tell what this means, one thing is simple, creature that now stands in the middle of the summoning circle. Know this well, your destiny has begun and with it comes dangers...</p> <p>Will you awaken and stand to rise to the challenge and save Equestria? Dream would let out a gasp before coughing up blood and chuckling as he said, "Damn... Looks like you hit your mark..." The Beast roared loudly and would thrash about in and attempt to smash poor Orion

<p>The Unicorn Captain wiuld stop Orion and said, "Who said you were going to fight in this battle? Last I checked, you are not a registered soldier in the Equestrian Army, retreat back with the rest of the citizens or I will have to arrest you on the grounds of interfering with organized equestrian military business."</p> <p>Star Catcher found that the crowd were being tended to by a group of robed ponies. They seemed to be carrying books strapped to the sides of their robes as each were Unicorns. They seemed to be caretenders and healers as they provided healing spells to the unfortunate as well as prayers and food. Maybe she could ask one for what was going on?</p> <p>There would be one near Star that was reading a verse from their book to children to help calm them down from the yells of soldiers who gained reports that the enemies were now coming out of the woods and towards the city.</p> <p>One guard looked at Defined and said to him, "Depends on who it is. While most are mindless and feral, others seem to be thinkers and even outsmarted most of our scouts when we attempt to evaluate them. Careful, those beasts are full of surprises."</p>
