Having fun though, so continuing the convo for a bit) The vampony nodded at the request. And, really, making other ponies proud of her is of the highest reward in her life. Appears to be a win-win scenario. Even so, words weren't necessary. So Seafoam took another bit of pie with her fork to, admittedly, spoil herself with. "Yes Seafoam! Enjoy the pie, you deserve a little happiness." Zesta thought to herself with a big ol' silly grin. As much as Seafoam may secretly be enjoying her treat, Zesta was excited multitudes over for her friend having even one simple joy in front of her. And she knows Seafoam, she knows that there wasn't any need to have more dessert. It wasn't even a matter of being polite in front of Zesta for considering her. Seafoam actually enjoying herself because of Zesta? That just made her whole day. "I should try to make that flavor myself, for next time." Zesta would point at the small pie tray. "So that way I can make the recipe the way you like it." Seafoam looked at her for a moment and finished chewing before she responds. "It is a good starting point, but I... shiver to picture the pie chilled." "Aw was that a pun Seafoam!?" Zesta giggled and shifted her reddish wings about. "Mmhmm." "That was pretty good Sea-Sea." Eeep! She just used that nickname again! "Don't blush don't blush Seafoam will see you don't blush..." As an attempted distraction to her own fluster she scratched her lower ribs slightly. Calling the vampony that name... While the mare was occupied with her own thoughts, Seafoam of course saw her self-comfort gesture. Her friend was nervous. Is she concerned that the nickname irritated her? "You've been worried about calling me Sea-Sea. Don't be." Seafoam hesitated with her own thought process for awhile. Yet another pony was giving her a nickname... To say her heart was warmed would be underselling it slightly. "I'm very fortunate you feel such comfort near me." Near her?! Is she crazy?? Crazy- crazy- crazy right of course! To reach over the table and give the tired warrior a big hug right here and now. She'd be taken in the vamp's hooves, and neither of them would ever want to let go. Cutting back to reality, Zesta smiled, yet couldn't hold eye contact. She felt guilt for fantasizing wildly like that amidst a friend giving her such trust, being genuine, admitting to her fear of being feared. Yet Zesta didn't realize now was her chance to step up to Seafoam's integrity. She was instead high on the elation that Seafoam was glad to be 'fortunate' with her. "'Fortunate'." Zesta repeated quietly to herself. "Well, everypony's fortunate with you here." She chuckles nervously, glancing back at the orange stars in front of her, silently awe-stricken with their beauty. They shared a gaze together. For a few moments, time turned so slowly. Compassion. Patience. Tragedy. A churning heart. That restless soul. Careful gaze. Just a moment, feel connected. Look into those eyes. Seafoam utterly did not share the sentiment of fortune. She's a rare breed in a world that shouldn't need her skills. It's not a wonder that validation moves her so much. Zesta yearns deeply to complete her, her eyes and her soul takes up all of her perception. Seafoam holds such emotion, so much shame. What'll it take to fix her? Arrange the pieces, make her stronger, and happier. Zesta needs to wake Seafoam's deepest passion. Make it line up with her fantasy.
