The surprise had finally been hoofed out from its tantalizing spot on the coffee table before the mares. Despite Seafoam's best efforts, Zesta knew she was trying to break down what could have been hiding under all that gift wrapping. They still had their conversations like normal of course. Yet wondering what Seafoam's guesses might be proved to be the most fun.

The package was simple. Not entrapped in a box, nor laid out too plainly to be obvious. Instead lovingly folded into a nearly perfect square, leaving only the collar of the garment to give away the original look. A mare can't live without her luxuries. No self-admiring mare, at any rate. Zesta held her earrings as priceless additions to her own body, and she loves the attention they recieve in a piercing-rare world. Her crush has physical features, undoubtedly so with her vampirism. Fangs and eyes are undoubtedly cool, but only the beginning! She wants her lover to have something material, something special to wow the ponies out there. To style her mane prettier, hold more attractive posture, most possibly experiment with makeup together! But Zesta huffed in the thought. Seafoam was a long way from doing any of that. Left to her own devices, she'll just continue hiding away from ponies. She'll probably let go a bit. Why style a mane if everypony can only focus on your eyes? Why be attractive when stern intensity is all you've ever been taught? Take pride in what possessions when survival is all that's important?.. If she wants her friend to do anything, she has to put her own hoof forward and take proactive measures. So imagine her excitement as she finally asked Seafoam to finally open the mystic present. Seafoam of course obliged, carefully lifting the gift off the table with her hooves. The both of them knew what it was now, as the item sunk like cloth around Seafoam's hooves even despite the stylish mango wrapping paper. No harsh wool or cotton, it was incredibly soft and free flowing...

What Seafoam just unwrapped was a delicate silky dress, estimated to be about her build through countless attempts of guesswork and memory-measuring. The fit won't be perfect, but it will be snug enough that it serves its purpose. Compliment that blue fur, and sleek around her entire shape, no added fluff or frills. (ok for realsies I'm a guy how do you expect me to describe a dress. Doesn't billow out at the end. Stab me, I dare you) Seafoam looks up at Zesta while still carefully holding the dress. She's certainly grateful for a random gift, and one as thoughtful as this was. Even though she can't think of a practical time to use it - or if she really desires to - it's humbling to receive. (will continue as a part 2, it be work time)
