"... here we are. The mirror's on the right side with the lamp." Zesta held a gleeful smile, even as Seafoam appeared to hesitate slightly in the new room. Her orange eyes must be scanning everything contained within before she trusts the space. To Zesta, it's an unfortunate habit. It must be dreary to doubt every place you go to. But Seafoam's delay only took a couple moments. She'd make her way to the mirror side of the room and inspect herself in her gift, of which she seemed most impressed! "This is a thoughtful gift, Zesta." Zesta blushed when thanked in such a way. "W-well--" her hooves shook a little, nervous that Seafoam might somehow not internally like the gift. All that hard work and dreaming! "how do you like it?" "It's a sound fit." Seafoam looked at Zesta, whose reflection bore her anxiety. "And I am fond of the color." Zesta's eyes were then blessed at the sight of Seafoam's rare smile. There she is, smiling just for her! She actually made Seafoam happy. "Oh I am so glad you think so you have no idea!" An eager tone followed by a pit-pat of her forehooves gently clapping together. "Here here here! Don't let it feel weird, try this!" Zesta's reflection then produced the pear her wing had stored in the kitchen. Perfectly ripe, and already washed. "Hold it in your mouth and then look." Her tone waxed with delight at the idea. It's on the list of accessories she wants to see the vampony with for extra cuteness! Oooooh! She'll look so pretty and kissable. Zesta didn't perceive any reservation against the idea. She saw her friend experimenting with the awkward idea. To trust Zesta at her suggestion. Really make an effort to conn-- Where did the pear go? Wing, still in front of herself. No pear? She didn't see anything happen... "Hmmff." Seafoam hummed amusedly at her own reflection, her mouth occupied with the plant seed. She really did look-- well, she finds it hard to convey into words. Was this what it meant to appear 'cute'? She has something others may want: a sweet fruit. And it's on her person. Ponies will want to stare at it... To stare at her? Her thought was interrupted by the star-eyed gaze of her friend in the mirror. Apparently, she was awe-struck with the sight... Was she that compelling now? "Sea-Sea you're so adorable!" Zesta proclaimed with the squeal, wiggling herself slightly in the meanwhile. "Ooh I wanna... Uhm... Wish I owned a camera for this Sea-Sea." Her friend could only hum at this, still looking at her in the mirror, though now with a curious expression. Practically speaking, she was just holding a fruit in her fangs for no reason. "Ok," the red pegasi began suddenly. "now pose like this." She made a stance with her body to the side, shoulders loose, and her mouth lowered in offering to an invisible somepony with a slight sideways tilt. To this her friend blinked as they held eye contact in the mirror, though obliged and mimicked the mare. T'was a setup! Zesta stepped forward and gently bit into the other side of the pear, giggling loudly and unable to keep her feathers under control. But then she looked forward at the blue pony to ease her eyes of the odd mirror angle, and Seaofam's followed hers... Within moments Zesta began to blush in excess. Lacking control, her jaw locked up. A chunk of the pear tore completely through as she hobbled backwards in a rosy, unbelieving bliss. She actually just did it. It wasn't even intentional, just spur of the moment. Following her passion. Seafoam by a couple moments had stood tall again, and held an unmistakable look of concern and sympathy in her eyes. Or at least, unmistakable in Zesta's perception. The still-blushing mare swallowed her accidental bite out of the pear before chuckling nervously and holding her foreleg. By this point she'd lowered herself far below eye level, and could only plead that Seafoam wasn't mad at her. To speak, Seafoam removed the pear with her wing, wiping her lips as well. "I can see that made you uneasy, my apologies. I should have avoided such a gaze." Her good friend. Taking the responsibility for the perceived fault. Oh if only she could let her friend know. Come on, Zesta, spit it out! A bit shaky now, Zesta held in silence. And to this Seafoam took a shallow breath and leaned forward to her friend. She wrapped a comforting wing around her shoulders and held her silently, hardly making any noise to breathe. What incredible comfort it brought to the mare. She was closer than ever before... Zesta would slow down shaking pretty quickly with this development. This was a delicate care she wasn't expecting to see from such a warrior type. Maybe she didn't know her friend's ins and outs like she thought she had. She can push her friend even further. (to be continued in part 4. Spice ahead :ss_shocked:)
