Mirror stared up at the statue, her eyes dull and tired. Still she wavered and could not read the words as they were written.. "Faith, I... I cannot do this on my own. I wish I could wake you. I wish I had... I wish I had a friend here with me." She sighed. "I need a break, Faith. I will be back soon, so please, stay safe whilst I am gone." There was a long moment of silence. It was almost as if Mirror were expecting an answer from the cold stone statue, but of course none came. Carefully, she set the scroll in her basket of herbs, and at last let herself step out of the clearing. Of course she wouldn't go far, for there was nowhere far she could go. At least she could take a walk. She was fairly certain nothing would happen to the scroll, and left the basket behind, in the clearing. Who would come across it there? When she stopped, it was in an adjacent clearing, with a pool of clear, cold water. She knelt beside it, gazing into it, and finally felt some of her tension ease. Maybe things would be okay. #rp
