Mirror's future as a character on this site is still virtually nonexistent, hence me posting this here and just as a drawing. HOWEVER, you'd better believe that if I'm giving the CA version of her a contrived 'happy ending' while ignoring all of my plans and development, I'm at least gonna take the opportunity to draw what passes as ship art. got a problem? me too! honestly I designed Faith to look slightly jarring and out of place next to Mirror; they never quite felt like a good couple, n the longer it went on, the more certain I was that they couldn't have a healthy relationship. that sounds... depressing, admittedly, and a little pessimistic, but the thing is... Mirror has Faith held up on such a high pedestal that it creates a gaping power imbalance between the two. their relationship formed in a high stress environment. they fit together about as well as Romeo and Juliet: it's a relationship started by puppy love and held together by rebellion, with almost no real substance and ridiculously high stakes. something that could have become love, but didn't get the chance. the keys to her curse were actually based on that: first, she needed to develop a healthy relationship. she needed to see the difference between her relationship with Faith and an actual friendship. second was the retrieval of the golden apple, which is entirely just a macguffin lol, and third, she had to step back and personally accept that she wasn't responsible for protecting Faith at the cost of her own health and life. she had to make the decision to sever her bond with Faith. that would have been the culmination of her essentially learning to have self-esteem. on the other hand, look!! happily ever after, yay, everything's great, nobody's gotta think about things or be upset c: isn't that great? fantastic. wonderful. magical! it's a fAiRYtAlE or something idek c: c: c: ....I just wanted to draw lesbians, n this is my only legal ship at the moment okay >:c
