//I had to make one of the toughest decisions I've ever had to make as a pet parent. My mom passed away in 2011 from Stage 4 Colon Cancer. She had a female dog Pepper Ann who was a cocker spaniel/ shih tzu mix. My sister and I purchased a full blooded male shih tzu from a neighbor who we named Simba. They had 4 litters of puppies, 4 pups in each. The second litter was the litter she had gotten the diagnosis and the runt of the litter she decided to keep and named her Ladybug. That was November 9th 2009. Mom used Ladybug as her motivation to fight the cancer and when she realized she wasn't gonna win she made my brother promise that we wouldn't give her away or rehome her that she'd stay in the family. Well I ended up getting her and today with my sisters help financially, I had to humanely put her down. She was 14 yrs old, she had cataracts in both eyes so she couldn't see. She had some sort of chronic skin condition, she had heart disease so that her abdomen was swollen, and Friday she had developed some abscess on her leg. R.I.P Ladybug 9/9/2009 - 4/7/2025
