Obsilion and others
A server needs to be set up in order to play multiplayer on java edition. You can do multiplayer on pc with bedrock edition but you must buy it through Microsoft. I think bedrock is 60 dollars atm

You cant play bedrock-java combined without certain server plugins. and only a few select servers have those.
