Even though knight began to fight them (whose commanders argue didn't make a difference, it was a victory, a glimmer of hope that the confederation needed. Fireworks began to go off in Applewood, Fired off my naval cruisers, just for this event. And ponies were happy. They had done it. soldiers from the front lines came home, grasping their young, while in private, those that didnt return had their mourners scheduled. For now though, they had a victory, their long needed happiness. Flam watched at the streets as no doubt drunken ponies were having a ball. He too even had a glass of hard cider, (granted none that would make him /drunk/ He smiled as he watched the ponies he worked so hard for smile, their gleeful joy, translating to his own fairly easily. The Beuracrat was besides him. "This is not very tactical sir, they are all out there, not prepared, not ready." Flam sighed. "I would say you are right," he started. "But they need this. /We/ need this. Its been so long with newspapers flooding the headlines with death and strife, the crisis on the border and the rising tensions. It had been defeat after defeat, but now... now my people have hope." he said to him. "And that makes all the difference." The bureaucrat sighed. "We need to think about our next steps. Reports have shown that a large power surge has been detected, around the area where the pony of shadows was kept contained. with Knight being an entity of shadows, no doubt he is attempting to absorb its power, to become stronger. But there was a battle, a large one it seems." Flam perked his ears up at that. "not an instant defeat? A simple two swipe combo?" flam thought about this, and stood with thought. "Beuracrat, Get the Smokeys on this. We need as much research as we can gather on sombraic magic, particularly that of the pony of shadows." he smiled a little. "I suppose now really is a great time for celebration." he laughed in a formal smugness, only he could manage properly, as he continued to watch the celebration below.
