Canterlot Avenue’s Green-Hoof Month! The month of April is special in that many countries celebrate a certain Arbor Day. The day of the month can vary (though so can the month, but is generally celebrated during Spring), yet the meaning stays relatively the same. Groups of people set out to plant trees, educate about trees and tend to existing ones. Trees are an integral part of our ecosystem and frankly survival. We rely on them for so much, yet it’s important we do not forget or take them for granted. So, during the month of April, we’ll be hosting a small event that is in the spirit of interacting with trees and nature. To participate, do one of the following: - Take a photograph of your hands planting a tree or seedling - Draw a picture of a character in nature with trees, planting a tree or as a tree - Write a short story or poem about trees Post it to the Green-Hoof Group Page or upload with the tag #GreenHoofMonth. Participants will receive a special badge upon completed review.

I would like to address those who consider themselves an artist in some way. Whether that be traditional drawing, digital, music producing, photography and so on. Join up as a means to post commission sheets, latest projects, designs and/or anything you want to share entailing your work. You can create your own art album if you wish, or contribute to an existing one. Get yourself out there. Or chat among other artists for opinions, advice, or gossip. If you're not one of those that views themselves as an artist, don't worry. It's all good to chat with artists here providing that they want you to. All we ask is that there's no hate. Come with open minds and before giving skeptical opinions, make sure the artists are asking for it.
