Then again ponysquare had a similar thing as here. Only difference being that ps was shitty and corrupt. Not to mention the fact they stole money and you didn't see people quit to the same extent

If you refer to decent users, I'd assume you'd be talking about ones that frequent the site quite a bit? Well could be due to a bit of a burnout. Spend enough time Rping and putting out decent content can really be draining. Some just need a break.
