The Castle: Cut Stories, Character Motives, and Presentations Part 1

The Castle wasn't the first name that was considered when making a Rp Group. Canterlot Castle was to be the official name, however it had soon changed when the sound of it in action seemed rather....cringe. Therefore the words 'The Castle' seemed to fit a better style of title. So much so that it is basically its own brand. (Not really) During the beginning stages of The Castle, Kirra, Velvet, Levi, and Chloe did not exist. It was originally meant to be a Castle with unnamed Lunars, Solars, and Artemis. However things seemed more alive when the idea of individual characters living their own lives in the Castle was presented. It made it feel less like a stage and more like a breathing scenery if that makes any sense. Nightmare was never suppose to be a thing. In early stages of the Castle and Artemis in general, Nightmare was never even a thought. The idea of Nightmare stemmed from a night where I had a serious case of sleep paralysis. During the night, I kept feeling the sensation of another in my room, causing me uneasy as I was unable to move. Somehow that had awoken me to my first creative idea towards Artemis. A Split personality caused by sharing a body. Diana is a current Lunar in the Castle story who carries a heavy past. She is the first daughter of Artemis before his banishment. In the current story, she is a Lunar that strives is heavy fortune as a talent. Originally she ultimate goal was to Kill Solaris, Artemis' brother. Blaming him for taking her Father away from him. This story has been adapted upon and used in vague references. The idea of Kirra being a sexist towards males comes from a inside joke among friends of mine. 'Imagine hating men, but being raised by pretty swell guy. Talk about struggled hatred.' Velvet Sweets is based off of an ex-girlfriend of mine. Her favorite sweet was red velvet cake. Arcane Magic as a concept is based of off a sentence that came to me during the beginning stages of Artemis. 'Is there really such thing as an evil item, or is it more so an item that is mostly used for evil?' Artemis was suppose to die after the Torment Arc, having put his all into defeating him. Nightmare would have then stepped up in his place to take control of the Kingdom in Artemis' absence, secretly working with Lesa in the taboos of bringing him back from the dead in secret. Obviously this was something that never took place. What replaced this was Prince Solaris entering a coma. Strange how things work out.
