Good tidings, everypony!
December 4th marks another anniversary for Canterlot Avenue, being our 7th year running. We are happy to still be here and be a space for all our wonderful users to express themselves and have fun role play experiences. Thank you all for your presence and without you, we simply wouldn’t exist.
With that being said, we’d like to continue hosting your adventures and we’re slowly but surely working to improve with time. Development this year has given us a new dice roll UI for comment sections, emojis on comments moved from a popup to a drop down panel, progress on showing latest replies first on comment sections, improvement on mobile interface and some bug tweaks.
For future prospects, these are some fun features that are being looked into:
- Gamify boop wars by adding boop streak counters.
- Allow users to use custom verbs for boops.
- Detailed Roleplay UI to support long form roleplays similar to forums but with RP specific UI. Roleplays read like a story or document. (This one is a doozy).
Be sure to stick around to see the progress! There’s much more in store and down the line, more custom profile applications will be in the works.
The community in Vanhoover, HarmonyCon, and Everfree NW conventions loved our street sign stickers (designed and printed by our Comp). We'd like to continue leaning in on the sticker idea with making more fun designs for the future to help spread the word of our site and community. Blew off the dust on our Twitter/X profile and hope to keep our social media outreach live and well.
On site, we tried a few events to spice up activity, such as the Hearts and Hooves event where we had a base drawing that anyone could draw over with their OC’s and or special some pony. As well as our April Fool’s event where our mascots turned into fish and everypony started going fishing for some reason?! For our springtime event, we hosted Canterlot Avenue Carnival where users could run their own roleplay booths. It was a lot of fun watching what everypony made and came up with for the event.

Here is my favorite Memory is during few days before Valentine's day back in 2023 is when Princess Silky ❤ flying through the air and she looked like she was floating on a cloud made of roses
I haven't been around much because it's been a busy year but there's definitely been a lot of small little memories of old CA that sticks around
this was purposely made to be a submission in the style of having had plenty of time but delaying it to the last day
