I'm starting to level out a bit more, and trying to think about how to bring in some of the other characters I've got ideas for. Mostly the image is the thing that's holding me back, not just because I don't have the art skills myself yet, but also just because I find it hard to be satisfied with anything. Funnily enough, I usually play exclusively female characters. Axiom Crash is the first male character I've felt comfortable playing in a long time, and I'm kind of using him to be the person I wish I had been when I was 20. He's up for anything, really, he's just kind of curious about everything. A big part of his character is having a brain that doesn't work like anypony else's and having difficulty finding anypony who can relate to him, so he tries extra hard to relate to everypony he runs into in hopes of someday finding what he doesn't know he needs. Just an explorer, up for anything. As for what I like in my roleplay ... I've done so much stuff it's hard to nail down any one thing. I can definitely tell you that I love Burn Notice. I really love larger-than-life characters with strong empathy for others, that's a big theme. I love doing the X-Com thing of accumulating assets and technology to fight an overwhelming and unknown threat. I love slow-burn progression in my roleplays, but they often fall apart once they accumulate too many characters and obligations to keep track of. But you have to know people pretty well and have a high degree of investment to keep something like that running, and I imagine things here are more loose. So I guess, I love action, adventure, science fiction (especially when I end up discovering new paradigms in ethics and identity), horror (big fan of Junji Ito, SCP (antimemes especially)), I think I do enjoy romance, but my primary love language is touch and that's challenging and taboo, so I've just never been able to understand or identify with romance in movies or tv all that well or get my own needs met in real life. I like mystery, exploration and discovery. I love puzzles, and I love facing up against masterminds and outthinking them. And I tend to be very verbose.

View MoreI could actually recommend something to you for images of your characters. PonyTown is a good place to make your characters on and take screenshots of them. I honestly find it a lot more detailing than some pony maker sites out there, so I use it for characters I don't really have any art for. It's not too hard to find everything you need on there, and it also doubles as a social place for many pony fans like us where you can go out and interract with others as your ponies. There is a slight catch though, as unique creatures like dragons or minotaurs can't be made on there (Believe me, I wish I could give Roark some love) but overall, it's a good place to chill and male your characters. I find it pretty interesting that a lot of people's character's on here are mostly extensions of what they wish they could be, granted it's not alien to me. I had a few characters like that as well, but I've mainly resorted to putting a bit of myself in every character I make rather than lumping everything into one. Each character I have basically has a mind of their own and most will differ in their responses to other characters people have as well, so if something is said in rp from one character, don't necessarily take it as that's what I think, but rather what that character thinks instead. I tend to like doing a lot of long term rps, but I do experience burnout every now and then from a combination of pain, work, and constant rp, usually without much time to myself in between, so if we do rp and I have moments of absence in them, it's usually just me trying to recover or sometimes I've just forgotten. And don't worry about being verbose, a lot of people, like myself, on here don't mind it too much.
