|| As long as you monitor who you do and don't add Discord isn't that bad. It really only gets bad if you add everyone who asks for your discord, and/or if you join giant servers with a ton of people in them. Even then, it's usually not that bad. Just be mindful of who you add and you'll be fine.

Discord as a service can't be judged by its users. As a software, I think it's pretty good.
