Approach the rp another way, maybe think of a response, but if it don't work out then I'd probably ghost them too (though I do try and come back)

Ghosting seems to be the go-to choice. I'm guilty of that too, though half the time its because ADHD/procrastination. If its incompatibility then I'll usually say "Look I got nothing" if they poke me about it. I do like being able to fix problems, though sometimes someone is just a walking red flag.

I try not to ghost. Instead, I'll make a post kind of expressing my displeasure of the roleplay IC, or OOC. But I too am guilty of ghosting, either due to a drop in interest, or stress/anxiety building up and pulling my motivation down to the pits of hell to suffer.
