A twisted howl fills the cold air, and is carri... View MoreSwift hooves crack branches, and crunch leaves in the woods surrounding the village of Másnehu. At first it's a single pair. Then, it becomes two pairs. A twisted howl fills the cold air, and is carried into the village proper. It's sound haunts the villagers, who are all too familiar with it. A tall unicorn stallion dressed in immaculate khakis re-traces his path through the woods. He uses the path he'd cut earlier to retreat in an attempt to find a safe location to reload his rifle. He could attempt to reload while moving, but he only has so many rounds with him that would be of any effect, and he can't risk dropping any. The sound of guttural growling, and claws on dirt begins to close in, and the stallion wheels to face his pursuer. Lord Ridgewell II flips his rifle around, and uses it like a club to slam it into the head of the pursing werewolf-like creature. It stumbles to the ground, howling it's twisted howl. Lord Ridgewell II dashes away, only to stop, and reload his rifle while he still has a chance. CRACK Another twisted howl. Twice the beast has been shot, and twice it continues to chase the man who shot it. Lord Ridgewell once again begins his sprint back towards the village. His silver bullets are having little effect against this creature. He needs the solar rifle. Lord Ridgewell II emerges from the treeline to see 4 stallions standing behind the cannon he'd brought with him. 3 of them are local villagers, one is a partner Lord Ridgewell II had brought with him to the village. The orange maned man behind the cannon begins to desperately wave for Lord Ridgewell to duck. He obliges, and dives onto the ground before him, covering his head with his hooves. "FIRE!" Smoke bellows out of the barrel of the cannon, accompanied by a tumultuous eruption of sound. Then, it's quiet. After allowing himself some time to recover Lord Ridgewell II stands, and brushes himself off. Fergal Byrne approaches from behind the cannon grinning ear to ear. The two turn to see their quarry utterly destroyed. "Bloody good shot Mr. Byrne. I don't believe he'll be getting up from that." Lord Ridgewell II comments as he and Fergal Byrne shake hooves. "Wouldn'tah worked without yher help sir."
