We have an observational bias when comparing it to exoplanetary observations because doppler shift and transit spectrography both rely on the object being significant enough to cause a substantial difference in its host star, leading to observations of larger exoplanets being the inherent bias, where we have observed multiple planets, they too tend towards the general structure we see around Sol, our benefit being we are hosted by a small, young star. The moon's formation is unusual, but it is unusual in the sense of being born with ginger hair. Pluto bears unnaturally large moons, as do a few of the Oort cloud objects, we are special only by the restrictiveness of the universe's immense size. It is massive, so massive we can't rationalise it. Yes, there is a lot of random chance. But when something is 1/100, rolling the dice 13 billion times makes the probability pretty high, overall. I tend to take personal offence to multiversal theory because of these biases, the universe is immense. Our very existence is so vast and massive that it is genuinely incomprehensible and can only be explained in meaningless terminology and exaggerated comparisons. Yet people want to assume the existence of more, of endless? It is a belief, no different from that of Gods and Saints, and an unfounded one at that. There's more evidence of Christ than there is of multiverses. Never mind the Roko's Basilisk of acasual trade. But I am just sharing my perspective. I don't personally find them entertaining or fun thought experiments for that reason, but I don't think it shouldn't be explored. I like plenty of 'alternate' settings. But I find most approaches to multiverses to be lackluster and uninspired. A different universe would have different physical laws, it wouldn't just be, Earth but Yellow, which I so often see. I am a nihilist, or cynic, or whichever label is most appropriate from the philosophical consensus. I don't put any stock beyond that which I can see, observe, or realistically COULD observe with effort/objectivity, and I hold no intrinsic meaning, karma, or direction behind the mechanisms of reality. For me as a person, there is no greater influence in the universe than me. Because I alone have the power to influence my own experience of the universe I have awoken in. I make my universe, because I am the lens through which I perceive the everything. I will make love that I feel, I will make this draw work, I will call every round until everyone folds or my bluff is called and when it comes time to cash out, I'll have lost nothing more than what I brought with me. To look at it through the lens of 'Random chance', it is a statistical miracle I wake up every morning, how can anything dishevel my confidence when I won the lottery just crawling out of bed? The dealer's cleaned out. The only second chances you get are the ones you make for yourself.
