How to entice ppl into roleplay? My 2 new ponies aren’t attracting anyone. Are they not interesting enough?

View Morei usually make situations based on the character but also trying to rile up ponies i know who will feel inclined to interact witherwind ; stealing. it attracts ponies who are good natured to confront him najasa ; flirty 🗣️ its rare and unexpected to get steamy starters, but by god does it attract attention thau ; before i got an rp that stuck long term, my go to starter was him being weaker than others and appealing to pity but most importantly 1. make a few personalized starters and throw them at folk's walls people like starters that are specific enough to be used relating to them, because it makes them feel like someone is paying attention, and it can make them more inclined to rp no need to make a personalized starter for every single person though (massive burnout!!!!), its okay to reuse when its realistic to their oc's situation even if it wasnt made for specifically them 2. try unexpected starters! going into weird, kooky situations that your character normally wouldnt be in 3. sometimes rps fail, and its okay! interests change, characters are re-characterized, what often happens is people simply do not have the mental energy to keep writing and writing and writing to multiple people, so to stop burnout which can kill rps long term, they cut off other rps and stick to their mains for a while 4. during an rp, do not feel afraid to make a situation where both your characters feel inclined to interact! getting robbed, getting hurt, mabye fighting a stranger, becoming magically ill, roping the other character into some antic that both of you benefit from or can keep the plot moving 4a. think of an rp as a ''this.. and?'' that 'and' part is very important! leave a response that someone can hook onto and engage with, to respond to, it keeps them interested like a fish grabbing the hook on a fishing rod! bait em out! 4b. even if you two are in one rp but doing something halfway across equestria, its still possible to throw stuff at their way!
