View MoreA disclaimer: This contains events inspired by actual happenings in WWI. at one point, during the holiday season, truces & ceasefires were held on Christmas Day, and many times, troops on both sides would come together and revel in the holiday. These occurances are inspiring to me, and I see no reason something similar cannot happen in this AU. That all said, enjoy! The Solar Empire was abuzz. Things looked rather plesant, for a change. Daybreaker and the Stalliongradine High Comissar, Black Star, had met in person, in a neutral location, and had agreed to a temporary cease-fire, and even a temporary non-agression pact. While both wanted to settle things between them, they saw it as important to allow both their populations to properly enjoy the season. All along the Solar-Stalliongradine lines, opposing troops met in the middle, not as enemies, but as comrades, enjoying various holiday activities and such, groups in some places even starting up friendly games of Hoofball. All the Solar Imperial forces really had to worry about this holiday season would be Changeling attacks, with Hearth's Warming being an alien holiday to the swarms, it would be unfair to expect them to agree to the same deal. In Canterlot, the entire city was in a very jovial, happy mood. The strong holiday smells filled the air, and with the temporary non-agression, came the temporary lifting of the curfew that had been put in place, and certain rationing restrictions were temporarily lifted. All in all, the season was bringing out the best in nearly everyone. Sure there were those bad seeds, but the guards were fit to handle them. In the castle barracks, it was time for the guard corps annual Hearth's Warming party... Why they were doing it so... early... was anyone's guess. But who cared? Nearly two months of time to be happy and jovial. Or, so it seemed for everyone else. Of everyone in the corps who would be off enjoying themselves with their comrades... Apple Bloom was off by herself, outside the barracks. She'd claimed to just be getting fresh air... But no. No her reasons weren't so simple.
