Either way, on the side of the road, you found a VHS tape with the title: Last Message. You knew you shouldn't, you knew it wasn't right, but curiosity had its hold on you, and you took it. Whether you already owned one or needed to buy one, you were able to use one, and were able to pop into the VHS and watch as the static took shape. When the recording finally stabilized, you saw a pony with a wide-brim hat sitting at a desk, his face completely blacked out due to the shadow. When he spoke, it sounded lazy but alert. Most of all, though, both how he sounded and spoke, he sounded desperate. ??? :" Hello, this will probably be one of my only tapes you have access to, brother of mine, but please, I need you to listen, I'm begging you! I know I accidentally hurt her, but it was an accident, just please hear me for two minutes! Equestria has been secure from the monstrosities that have been plaguing most other areas. " Tears were starting to fall from the void that contained his face, and his voice was beginning to quiver. " One of them has cornered me, it wants me to sleep, and its grip is starting to take hold. If you know about them, you'll know how to keep you and your loved ones safe. I've left a series of tapes throughout Equestria, each one covering another physical and mental anomaly I've been keeping away from the public. And this tape will cover the one that will likely take my life. " He left the frame for thirty seconds, then returned with a page held in the crevices of his wing. This mystery stallion was a pegasus. After clearing his throat, he began to recite the passages. " Subject 07, otherwise known as PHEN228. 07 is a being that only exists physically in the digital plane and the ones who have viewed it. PHEN228 appears as a fully black figure, except for a few areas, specifically the face and the gut area. The spaces that aren't black appear as a burned red of pure gore, and its mouth moves as though it is connected by a string, constantly stretching and moving up and down. Once viewed directly, the next time you fall asleep, it will appear at your feet and cause permanent sleep paralysis. You will only be able to move your mouth and vocal cords as you decay at an accelerated rate. The only known way to survive PHEN228 is to never look at him directly through digital media. " The stranger put down the paper and took a deep breath.
