Assassin's Creed for sure, it has more games people actually talk about. Far Cry just has Far Cry 3. also, you really can't beat "punch the Pope to death".

Assassin's Creed certainly has a better story going for it, but I have played more of the Far Cry games. So, personally, I would say Far Cry simply for Vaas Montenegro. He is a top-tier antagonist and made me enjoy 3 the day I got it.
