And, for the most par... View MoreThis would usually be quite a busy time of year for those in the medical industry. Lots of people going out and about meant lots of people getting into very strange predicaments. And, for the most part, that was still the same this year. However, things were busy for a completely different reason for Papillon. She'd nearly finished packing up her office in the hospital she'd been working at. Her once cluttered desk now held naught but a few more boxes. The bookshelves that lined the walls were completely empty. Papillon could, quite easily, drag these last few boxes out to the carriage, waiting outside. But, instead, she sat at her desk, for one final time. Sitting across from her, framed on either side by her things, was a rather large plush toy. A red panda, looking to be asleep. The shape of its body promised that it was meant to be laying flat on its stomach- probably as a hug pillow of sorts. Sitting on the desk in front of it was a card. 'Happy Hearth Warming' was written across the front in raised gold script. From behind her ear, she withdrew a pen, drumming it back and forth upon her desk, as she hummed, "I don't think I can bring you with me. But I know for certain, Yuri won't appreciate me sending him a gift. Couldn't he and I have just held it together for a little longer...?" The panda, of course, didn't respond. She scowled and threw the pen at it. it bounced harmlessly off its plush head, and bounded to the floor, "Don't look at me like that. I know that I'm at fault here. But I can't bring you with me! Just looking at you reminds me of him." She sniffled. Oh. That wasn't... expected. Another pen was pulled from one of the boxes, along with a sheet of paper. She'd scribble a note on it, before tucking it within the actual hearth warming card. Standing up, she'd lift the phone in her office. A moment later, a woman's voice came up- her ex secretary, 'Hello, Boss.' "Can you get someone to bring my things down to the wagon for me, Serendipity? I have something I need to take care of." Before anything could be replied to her request, she'd hang the phone up and stand to her full height. She tucked the card under her wing, and would place the stuffed animal on her back. Maybe she'd seen one too many hearth warmings movies with Yuri, if she actually thought this was a good idea.

View MoreThe bell’s sudden ringing startled him… Who could it be at that hour and on that day? Gray sat up straight and gazed out a window to no avail. There was nothing for him to see in there, he’d have to get the door. “…Huh.” The actor frowns suspiciously and puts his warm cup of punch down onto the side table. Next, he rises from his seat and heads into the corridor towards the main hall. On his way he’s still wondering what would await him at the other side. And just like that, the door to his mansion opens by a gap. The warm light emanated from it, only obscured by Gray’s coy silhouette as he poked his head outside to take a peek. As far as he could see there was only white… “…Hello?” he calls and receives no answer. “Hm…Mp-…???“ The actor nearly trips as he tries to advance outside his porch, instead he finds himself facing a stuffed animal. Gray’s eyebrows arch in surprise as he sits down and picks it up. Curious golden eyes examine the toy carefully. At first, he thought it was some sort of fox… Truth be told, he had never been especially good at identifying critters. But this one looked more like… like a mix breed between a racoon and a fox, not quite one or the other. “…Hello!?” Gray gently holds the plush against his chest and peeks into the front yard once more. Someone must have left it at his door. It wasn’t trash for sure… He could tell that it wasn’t just some cheap toy, it was truly lovely and the perfect size for hugging, it was soft, plump, in pristine condition and it smelled great too! There was an element of warmth to it that he couldn’t describe… The stallion gives up trying to find its owner, instead turning his gaze upon the stuffed animal again, that’s when he takes notice of it… The greeting card. “…!” Gray gasps lightly and gently sets the panda to the side, focusing on the card instead. Now he knew for sure that it was for him but… Ah, it made sense. …There was only one person who could’ve done something like that. Gray’s eyebrows furrow once he realizes, a stubborn tear clings from the corner of his eye and he brushes it away. That’s when he picks the plush again and hugs it against his chest, the actor turns his head around a few more times, calling into the cold evening. “…Thank you!!!” he could only wish that his words would reach.
