Friendship Letters

Things kept getting worse, and worse. First, the news of a litch running around. Then the news that he'd killed the majority of the explorers on this operation. Then the team started to run low on supplies, and finally the druid never came back after she went to forage for food last night. The team was preparing to abandon their mission, and head out of the AHS. That was, until they found the castle.
The halls of the castle were vast. Paintings, and sculptures lined it's walls, some depicting what looked to be the litch in his mortal form, and others of what looked to be some form of police force. However, in every painting, a particular woman was depicted. She had blue fur, and purple hair, which she usually had up in a bun. At the end of the great hall the tea found themselves in stood a great statue, depicting the litch dancing with the woman from the paintings. As the team approaches, Nar can barely make out the words on a plaque below. "Jonathan, and Arcana Mithrum. Forgotten by the world, but not each other."
The wizard hurries past Nar in an attempt to get a better look at the statue. The gunslinger calls out, and tries to grab him, but he's not fast enough. Without knowing it, the wizard trips an arcane alarm, and the floor beneath the team suddenly opens up, revealing a large pit below. He manages to quickly cast feather fall as the team begins to plummet, but halfway down, the effect is dispelled, and the team lands hard on the stone below.
Thankfully no one is hurt badly, but the paladin, and wizard find that none of their magic works at the bottom of the pit. Though they try to devise a plan, they can't think of anything that wouldn't involve magic. As the wizard begins to profusely apologize for his mistake, Nar reaches his hand out. "Give me your rope guys. I have an idea." After collecting around 100 feet of rope, Nar ties it together securely, and then stuffs it into his satchel.
Nar turns towards one of the walls, and approaches until he's about 15 feet from it. Then, he assumes a stance, and the motors in his skates begin to whir. With a quick motion, Nar dashes towards the wall at an angle. He hops as he nears the wall, and initiates a wallride, heading diagonally up the wall. So far so good.
As Nar attempts to hop from one wall, to the next, he misses his footing, and falls back towards the ground. Thankfully, the paladin and gunslinger manage to catch him. "Woah pardner! Just what are you planin' here?!" The gunslinger shouts, annoyed. Nar simply stands back up, and prepares himself again.
"If I get the angles right, I should be able to wallride up the wall." Before the gunslinger can speak again, Nar takes off. This time, he just smacks against the wall, and slams back down onto the ground. As the paladin helps him up, he issues a warning. "If you get hurt in your attempts, I will not be able to heal your wounds." To this, Nar nods.
Another attempt. This time Nar manages to get to the third wall before he's forced to bail. This time, he manages to land himself with no injuries, though his knees aren't very happy about it.
Time and time again, Nar tries to wallride up the pit, slowly getting farther, and farther. However, on one attempt, he nearly reaches the top, only to jump too early, and miss the ledge. He smacks into the wall, and tumbles back towards the ground. To his surprise, the paladin, gunslinger, and wizard manage to catch him, avoiding his untimely death. Though they have their thoughts, they keep them private. Nar's trying to get them out of certain death right now.
After the attempt, Nar takes a moment to re-collect himself.
'Dumbass. What were all those years spent practicing for? Sure, this is a tall order, but c'mon! You've done stuff like this before!' He hadn't. 'So what's stopping you from doing it now!' With a deep breath, Nar readies himself one more time. The motors whir, and Nar takes off towards the wall again.
This time, Nar makes sure to follow the paths he'd taken on earlier attempts, using what little groves he'd managed to etch into the walls for extra traction. The first hop is executed well, and Nar manages to pick up some speed. The second hop is slightly off, but Nar manages to recover before the third hop. He continues hopping from wall to wall, as he spirals up the pit, until he reaches near the top.
With a great leap, Nar manages to grab on to the ledge of the pit, and clamber up back into the hall.
For a moment, the others look up, wondering when Nar will throw the rope down to let them up. They hear the sound of metal being hammered into stone, and grunts of effort from Nar. Then, 2 minutes later, the rope is tossed down, allowing the other 3 to climb up, one at a time. The gunslinger is the last to exit the pit. Upon doing so, Nar removes a piton from the statue floor where he'd hammered it in. Afterwards, he and the gunslinger give each other a sly grin, and fist bump. "Knew there was a reason you were on this team." The gunslinger comments.
The team then turns towards the end of the hallway. "I feel it. A great, necrotic presence, just beyond that door." The paladin points towards a door at the end of the hallway. "The end is in sight comrades. Let us tend to our wounds, then, we shall put an end to this madness."
