Location: Forest, South Route towards Griffon Village
Year: ????
"Fools." I told myself as I observed the deceased bodies before more. This was my current fate having been traveling the forest trails in the late hours of the night. Suppose it is helpful that my fortune sticks with me. The Bandits that decided to ambush me and possibly take liberties with me have now met a pitiful end. The smell starting to fill this area was concerning however. I couldn't tell if it was due to the decapitation done to the leader or the showing intestines of the his goons.
"Such a mess. The gorgeous forest is now tainted with the guts and foul of these worthless creatures. Yuck." It was rather sad to see such beauty as nature be tainted by the recent dead. But of course their fates were sealed when they set upon me. Removing the head of the leader was as easy as pulling a grab from a vine. And as far as the remove of stomachs? Well that was just out of curiosity. Still, I found it rather fascinating to observe an Arcane spell of one of the goons being devoured from the inside by rats. Very curious indeed. Arcane had it's dark uses.
"I can tell you want to speak to me of something. What is it?" I had asked my Lantern, placing him on a nearby stump of a tree.
'I'm of no moral or obligation to judge. However, do you see that your solution to elimination a threat seems a bit....dark? Not Dark in the sense of evil. More so on the plains of extremes. With your magic, you could've easily have just stopped their hearts. Or paused their lungs. Yet you took a more curious observation route. The Leader, funny enough, you chose a swift death of decapitation. Yet the others? I feel you simply played more with food. Summon rats in the stomachs of some and forcing the others to rip out their own stomachs. I am as to question one thing. Why?'
"Why?" Good question. Why did I do that. They were just bandits. Thieves and possible killers. Yet, why have such a fate of their end? Why did I do it? "I was just...curious I suppose. Never seen what it looked like to see one get devoured inside out. Never watched somepony rip open their stomach. I just wanted to....observe I guess."
'Yes. That seems to be your logical thinking. Just a mere observation. Justified by the fact that you chose to do so towards thugs. Again, I'm of no judge towards the sins you commit. If you even call it sin. However, I'm more so focused on how you seem to logically decide on such violent acts. Could it possible be more of you being part Arcane Spirit? Given that your Father shared a body with a Arcane Spirit.'
"Not sure. Maybe my Father was just a violent person. Nightmare Moon was known for raiding villages and slaughtering innocence in his attempted conquest of Equestria's eternal darkness. Wouldn't be being the daughter of a Tyrant suggest I inherit such a violent nature?"
'It is not the violent nature that has my eyes. It is more so you are aware you have a violent nature, yet don't feel shamed or disgraced of it. Not that I would want you to be disgraced. It just seems that you are very accepting of your Nature. Arcane Nature that is.'
"Arcane nature? What does Arcane have to do with my choices of violence? Justified or not?"
'A lot actually. Arcane isn't just a ancient and founding root of Magic itself. Arcane is a living and breathing existence. It has somewhat of a conscience. And the conscience breeds certain desires. Greed, Power, and Control. With Greed comes Risks. With Power comes Danger. And with Control? With Control, Violence is easily birthed.'
"You make it sound like every Arcane User to exist in this world develops a need for Violence. I find that a bit of an overreaction."
'Is it an overreaction? Or is it simply to harsh of a truth. Moreso? Perhaps it isn't a point to assume all Arcane Users developed a taste for Violence. Maybe it is more accurate to suggest....Arcane Users are just immune to feeling for the Violence they cause. Nightmare Moon didn't seem to care towards the harm he caused. Nor did King Astral before him during his conquering of the many Kingdoms.'
"King Astral? Who's that?"
'King Astral was the last King of Equestria. The Stallion and Arcane Lord that made Equestria the Dominate Kingdom it stands as currently. The Husband of Queen Haru, who was a Light Magic Mistress. Yes, I know what you are thinking. An Arcane Lord marrying a Light Mistress? Well that explains the Two Princes of vastly different magics. King Astral was their Father. Father of Artemis Luminous and Solaris Icarus.'
'And unfortunately he is the reason your Father become what he became...."
