This clearing in the forest isn't a wholly unusual spot to encounter strangers. While a touch out of the way, the trail guide found at the park's resource center lists the location by the main walk route. That hardly stops pegasi from gliding to the location whenever they felt like it, but why be on a nature trail if you're going to fly through it? Thus it is a somewhat rare occurrence. Rarer yet, Seafoam had shown herself beside Hawk in the most unusual fashion. Surely it was impossible to walk anywhere in this forest without disturbing a rock, a stick, any fallen leaf or seed. Why, most of the grass would hint to hoofsteps disturbing their blades. But she clearly walked up to him without so much as a sound until she spoke at his right to take his attention. The blue mare was a comfortable 5 foot span from Hawk. Close enough to converse, but not close enough to intrude on personal space. However this would be the only comfort of her presence. Unlike Hawk's appearance, Seafoam held a first impression that could easily be spun as off-putting, if she presented herself at just the right angles. Most attention-grabbing were a pair of carnivorous (though in reality vampiric) fangs protruding from her mouth at all times. With how unapologetically she portrayed them, the fangs are intended to be seen by all who catch sight of her. Was it a form of pride in her appearance? Or some other motive... But the fangs were nothing when one took hold of her eyes. Her pupils drew to vertical slits, enhancing cautious and perceptive eyes. One look at them, and the gaze could cut through you, metaphorically speaking, as if she could see your thoughts and soul... So here they were. Eye nearly to eye, for she was an inch taller than Hawk. She carried no weapon except herself, and those pointed, peering eyes. At least he saw her current expression was not one of anger to him. Perhaps he was used to angry glares, perhaps he was not. The expression she bore instead was careful skepticism. She wondered if Hawk's reputation preceded him, or were they mutations of a misunderstood soul? If the former, she looked capable enough to battle with ferocity. If the latter...

View MoreHe oofed in a sharp pain it gave him, though it was short-lived and restrained under his unwavering willpower, but he did not resist the blade's call. He had no intentions on truly witholding whatever secrets he held inside his soul. He was a warrior, many victories under his belt and even more losses. From single-handedly toppling an unimaginably huge warship that could fly into the heavens and beyond from the inside out, to hanging out with friends that were no longer among the living, even faint snippets of the corruption he vowed to fight against in his world. With it, it read him like a book. He was full of unbelievable sorrow, it was almost shocking to believe that he was able to keep himself sane at this point. His thoughts flooded with nothing but nightmares and a deep hurt, a hurt of loss. No, there was more, not just only pain, but a longing of something...deep. If the blade's nature would go deeper, it would find that he was lost. He was from another realm of existence, and that he really wasn't a pony, but something else entirely. Everything he ever knew and loved...gone, ashes, nothing more than text in a history book. He was a survivor of a horrible tragedy, having bore witness to the greatest levels of evil that could exist according to imagination. If further, he revealed that he had defeated immortals, using ancient knowledges once thought forever gone to time. Again those visions of his terror resurfaced, it plagued him every waking moment, it drove him to never succumb as he held onto some kind of hope...what kind of hope? The hope portion faded, becoming once overcome by his fears, he couldn't forget these, permanently burned and seared into his mind as if branded. He was in great emotional and spiritual pain, something else was there...it was...a thing. Not a memory, it was something...alive, but not. It felt pure evil, malicious and sought nothing but death, but it was not his own thoughts. Hawk grimaced as he relived his worst moments again and again in his head, even those most cherished good memories were nothing but agony to the stallion. All of his secrets, the best and the worst, came forth. He was alone, he missed those whom he lost dearly...he longed for death, a death that never came for him, visions of how he got his scar came to mind. Stabbed from behind in the dark, surrounded and alone, by a ragged blade, left to die only to awake in a strange world. More thoughts and memories and admissions came in, one after another. Could the mare handle such revelation?
