He turned to his n... View MoreCalaco sat inside the control room of his space fairing frigate, the Feather Above the Wind. As it sailed between the light of a thousand stars, through the inky blackness of space. He turned to his navigation officer and told him to set course for port in the Tau Ceti system for resupply and repair. Their recent run in to space pirates had damaged several of their systems and cost plenty of ammunition. The ship was on the smaller side, being only about 200 meters from bow to aft, and only 100 meters from keel to mast. She had a simple armament, standard pulse lasers and point defense not withstanding. She carried four double racks of photon torpedo launchers and two forward batteries of kinetic Canons, plus a single odd armament not found on standard frigates. A single Mass Acceleration Cannon, slow to fire but the thing could crack even a dreadnoughts armor if the ship was unshielded. The downside to it, was the massive power draw and it's forward locked directional fire. Great for surprise attacks after a torpedo strike to lower shields, but his ship wasn't invincible either. Every time the Mass gun was fired, it drained shields and about 80 percent power to the ship. Left her practically undefended until the power could recycle from the warp batteries. Life support and engines where still functional, but barely. Plus the damage to the ship left her listing to the starboard side by a factor of 12 degrees, she was ment to be an exploration ship. Not a pirate hunter, in fact their mass gun was barely able to fit. Having downsized his med bay, mess hall, and crew living quarters by at least half to make the thing fit. He had at most ten rounds he could store in the ships munitions depot for it. Most other ships that had one, where triple its size and could compliment it with more than quadruple the crew in case of a hull breach. Much like the one of deck five that had vented it's atmosphere in the last raid. Ordering the sealing of the sections affected, he let out a sigh. "Some dumb luck we have, running into those pirates in deep space. How long until shields and the jump drive are in working order?" He asked through the comms to you, his engineering officer. "I'd hate to have to delay our delivery of supplies to the outer colonies, Luna knows they need it." #rp
