The day’s journey had been grueling, and the stillness of the night air felt like a welcome embrace. He stretched out on his bedroll, gaze fixed on the flickering flames, lost in thought.
With the faint rustle of leaves around him and the distant chirping of night creatures, he allowed himself a moment of peace. Life on the road can take its toll on an old horse, but Katō couldn't imagine life any other way.
"I'll be in the big city come sunrise," he murmured to himself, "Never was a big fan of them. The people are always so noisy." #rp
