That right there makes so much sense, Equestria, being founded on Friendship would be founded in the middle of the continent, kind of like the old saying "Meeting in the middle." So would it be farfetched for a Unicorn City to exist on the same continent on the Eastern coast?

The only logical way I can see this being the case and believe it to be the case is this. Earthponies are natural farmers. Unicorns would be more made up of scholars. Pegasi would be more made up of hunters and inventors. Let's break it down from g5 point of view. Zephur heights is more technologically advanced than everyone else. If we are to conclude that pegasi really did come from the northern frozen mountains, than it makes sense that they would naturally have to be good hunters and inventors. They would be finding creative ways to keep warm, hunt more efficiently, and just survive better with less resources. It also means they evolved from having to eat meat since meat would be the more plentiful resource in the northern area. The pegasi technological background would make a lot of sense in this form of thinking. They had to constantly find new ways to improve their living, which meant they worked harder in a sense. Unicorns. We dont see much on thier end. Just that they have lots of superstitions and knowledge in certain areas that the others dont have. This makes sense. Their whole thing is magic. Look at Starswirl. He is one of the most powerful unicorns their is. With how old he was in g4 and his obvious nonexistence in g5, it's safe to assume he was around since before the founding of equestria. Hell, he probably helped. When you deal with the supernatural, you become superstitious. Unicorns come from a scholar background. They studied almost all there is to know about magic. It's safe to assume that 90% of books on all forms of magic and spiritual studies were done by those with a better connection to it. Unicorns. In g4 Rainbow Dash constantly called Twilight an "Egghead". There is a reason for that. We see a similar connection in g5 when Izzy tells Sunny that unicorns lost their magic and "....everyone thinks the "pesky pegasi" has something to do with it.". That is not a miss. It's a hint. Unicorns are natural scholars. It makes sense for them to be in areas more connected to spirit than anywhere else. The forest. Why are the pegasi "pesky". Well they are natural hunters and engineers. They are smart and cunning. These two statements are proof that unicorns were very smart scholars and pegasi were very cunning in their ways. It explains how sneaky Zipp likes to be. And now its earthponies. It seems that earthponies are the laboring bunch. In g4 applejack is a farmer. Her whole family of earthponies are farmers. Pinkie's family are farmers. And in every situation we see a random earthpony in, they are doing something laborious. Hell, the Cakes are bakers! That right there is laborious. Earthponies seem to do more labour in g4 than anyone. Then there is g5. Maretime bay is apparently part of canterlot. Sprouts mother owns the canterlot machinery company (whatever tf they were called again). Its safe to assume they use to have plenty of ships coming in. They need people strong enough to handle the labor of shipments and helping navigate the ships. Hell, in g4 they did a whole bid with AJ, Rarity, and I think RD if my memory is correct. This bid was a goofy pirate bid. That is no accident. Earthponies labor not just on land, but out at see. So maretime bay makes some sense. Earthponies had to take care of sea labor and farm labor. It makes sense for earthponies to have to come from a farmers background. They do high labor, low maintenance jobs. With that being said, earthponies before equestria was founded more than likely came from an area that wasnt too desert looking but also not too grassy. A place for perfect conditions to grow crops and start farms. (Texas is damn near perfect). Eventually, some would go out at sea to live different lives. That's where the pirate thing comes from for the sea laboring earthponies. It all makes sense. And now for the whole scope. As we know, eventually, Equestria is founded. It would have to be founded in the middle of this huge triangle to make things run smoothly. With it being founded on friendship, they all would understand that they all had thier strengths and weaknesses. So for this new era to run smoothly, they all had jobs similar to what their lives were like. They would help accommodate each other in different areas and would also pick up off of each others weakness under a ruler that would help keep the peace between everyone....But what happens if this ruler disappears? This ruler and their power. What happens when they disappear??? That's where g5 comes in. This is my theory. Twilight would be the new ruler and the new bearer of the elements of harmony. She is far too caring to put the kids her and her friends taught through the responsibilities of the elements. So she would take that burden. In g4, their has been conflict with her teaching other races. Though that was resolved, its possible it didn't last. So..there was another conflict regarding this. By this time, Twilight is working closely with Discord and the Tree of Harmony. This conflict gets worse and worse despite her best efforts. Discord tries his best to cheer her up with his goofy antics but it doesnt work. He misses fluttershy and doesnt know how to be a good friend to Twilight. So he leaves to try and ease her of some of her burdens. Probably because of her pain and that many are turning against him and throwing his past in his face. Spike would do his best to help, but he is a dragon. The only ones with the power to kill dragons are unicorns. Eventually his life is at risk and Twilight would force him to leave to protect him. Now all Twilight has left to turn to his the Tree of Harmony. So, she consults the tree. We know that the tree of harmony has the power to bring all magic back when it is taken away. Kinda like the avatar. Kora can bring bending back. Ang can take it away. We saw in g4 that there were forces powerful enough to take magic. The tree can combat that. BUT, the tree can also put a "lock" on magic. Let me explain. The tree of harmony is growing weaker as harmony is losing its place in the world. Twilight has done all she felt she could. She consults the tree but the tree leaves her to decide all of it. The tree leaves Twilight, its greatest student, to decide the fate of equestria, magic, harmony, and friendship as a whole. Twilight doesnt know what to do. Then she looks back on the memories she has with everyone from her past. She looks back on past lessons, past spells. She just reflects...Then she comes up with her answer to the tree....Its time to change things. Niether her nor the tree can keep this up for long. It's time for their people to decide. It's time to leave the fate of magic, friendship, and harmony to the people. This is her greatest lesson. The lesson of responsibility. The lesson of Unity (I think there is a different word I'm looking for, I know there is, but I cant think of it.). Same difference. Together you stand. Divided you fall. Take responsibility for your own actions and face your consequences...Together, using the last of the Tree's strength and power, Twilight and the Tree create the Pony Crystals. After doing so, the tree and its elements would essentially die. Twilight would then give the crystals to the ponies and assign the three groups their own crystal. She would then step down from her seat as ruler and would then disappear, leaving everyone to question what happened to her. After this, the conflict would continue for a time before the great split, or the "Great Divide" we should call it. Of course, after this divide, they would still have their magic for a bit for the crystals would still have a bit of power. But after a while of thier split, the powers in the crystals die out due to them being divided, and thus the disappearance of magic that happened "....many, many, many moons ago." as Izzy stated. Now, like I said. This is the only logical way I can see this and I believe this the best way. But, I maybe 100% inaccurate and I am open to conversation.
